One weekend I was set to head out early to help a friend move. My wife was up too, unusually early for her, complaining about abdominal pains, which she attributed to digestive problems. So I delayed my plans and went to the pharmacy instead to get her something. When the pain kept getting worse, we argued about going to the hospital. I prevailed and canceled with my friend, but she wanted to go to the bathroom first.

There, she suffered a circulatory collapse, luckily the door wasn't locked. When she couldn't get up even with my help, I decided to call an ambulance instead of driving her myself, despite her pleas that I was overreacting. Paramedics came, took vitals and decided to give her a ride in the weewoo truck. I quickly packed an overnight bag, just in case, and followed.

Since it was the height of the pandemic, I could only take care of some inital paperwork at the ER, but wasn't allowed to wait there afterwards. They just took my details, gave me a phone number to call for updates and sent me out.

I went to kill the time at my parents', who lived nearby. Hours and several fruitless calls later, staff still couldn't (or wouldn't) tell me what was wong, but I finally learned that she was moved to the gyn station and I could bring her stuff.

In a surreal odyssey I was sent from entrance security back to the ER, from there to the station desk, where not a soul was present, so I just went to the nurses' office and stated my case. Finally a nurse with some empathy told me to "just go in and be with your wife, nobody's gonna check where you went anyway".

At her bedside, I finally learned that she had developed an ectopic pregnancy (despite using contraception), that apparently had ruptured earlier in the bathroom, and started bleeding into her abdomen, which was causing her severe pains. She had asked for more pain killers several times already, but was told they needed to wait for more lab results. Not even ten minutes later, a visibly concerned resident came in, told her she needed to go into the OR NOW, made the quickest consultation ever and had her rolled away.

Since nobody told me to leave, I just followed them to the OR, where I suddenly was all alone only moments after the door shut behind them. I honestly felt like Vincent Vega in that memed scene from Pulp Fiction where he confusedly turns around the house. I noticed some benches on the corridor wall and decided that if nobody had tazered me out up until now, I was just gonna wait here.

First the resident from earlier came back out and gave me more details on the situation. Then after a while some senior-looking man with a beeper rushed by and I thought this must be my wife's emergency surgeon having his saturday ruined, and insanely chuckled at myself. Same guy came to me a bit later, all geared up, and told me what they were gonna do and that I did not have to worry about my wife, because she was safe. A line I would have found very cheesy in a hospital drama on TV, but was exactly what I needed to hear then.

I honestly have no idea how long it took, but I think it was about an hour. The resident came back to me and explained that they had to remove the ruptured fallopian and my wife would need to receive some blood bags, but otherwise she was fine. Shortly after, the surgeon guy joined and told me he'd have her spend the night in the ICU for surveillance and should be back on station the next morning, and that by insisting on going to the hospital and calling an ambulance I may have saved her life, because had she decided to try and "sleep it off", she could have been dead the next morning.

That last sentence sticks with my mind still today because, while I surely was worried throughout the whole thing, it had not crossed my mind that she ever was in a life threatening condition.

A tall skinny white guy in a white van rolled up to the park and started talking to one of my friends trying to get in the van to "Take her home". Luckily another friend was there and called the police, they were crying when they were dialing the number. The man noticed them calling 911 so he started to leave, luckily they got his license plate number and the police caught him and arrested him. They never went to the park again :)

i had a friend (L) who spread rumors and cheated on their bf behind their back. literally anytime the bf was away they would be like “ oh they are so ugly” and stuff like that. the friend would also try to hit on me and the friends brother would sexually harass me and another friend(A). not to mention the fact that the mom tried to justify it and when the A’s mom tried to talk to L’s mom, L’s mom cussed her out. eventually A’s mom called cps and the police and L and their family got evicted and L’s bf is not dating them anymore as they came out as aroace but they are still friends and L’s ex has no clue about the rumor thing. As of right now me and A and another friend sit together and me and L are no longer speaking bc they called 3rd friend the r slur.

Honestly it was very scary bc i had no personal space and i was rly stressed bc i was getting gaslighted a ton and im so glad we are no longer friends but L and L’s ex bully us now and we are trying to figure out a way to tell them because L convinced their ex i was the one spreading the rumors. they have left us alone for a bit now so thats good.

I figured I’m gonna add my answer just for fun, but today I was at the hospital to get a GI appointment done I was very scared and I hate crazy thoughts when I was waiting and I was just sitting there listening to Christian music and praying to god saying “please don’t be anything bad in my stomach please god” and luckily the doctor said it might be something like acid reflux and immune system stuff but those where all theory’s and he said to take 40 mlg of omeberzole (sorry for bad spelling/ lack of punctuation) and do some dietary changes. So then he said if this doesn’t get better where gonna have to schedule you for surgery. Now this terrified me and I am young and I am a hypochondriac now luckily my mom said it’s only if there is nothing we can do to fix your stomach. Sorry pandas for a long story and sorry for lack of punctuation and bad spelling. Also sorry that it wasn’t as scary but I have never had surgery and it freaks me out sometimes but hope you enjoyed!!!
