Not all of us look at the world the same, some of us are just focused on going about our day, while others are hyper-aware of anything that could be seen as out of place. Call it paranoia but some people are always looking for signs that something is amiss. Whether it is signs of alien life or government conspiracy theories, these eagle-eyed folks are always there to report something.

One such suspicious observer on the internet noticed some strange chalk markings near their house and turned to the internet to get some answers. Turns out they weren’t the only ones and from there, things escalated – only to come to a hilarious conclusion.

I think the lesson here is, if you are going to chalk mark places for nefarious purposes, draw a penis. Everyone will assume it's just graffiti.

It's not that crazy. Burglars do leave marks outside houses and apartments. Professional groups send a scout out to check areas beforehand. In the area I used to live in, they placed toothbrushes stuck in the ground outside potential apartments.

I heard about leaving newspapers or random rubbish (like broken whiskey bottle) in front of houses. If it disappeared it meant that somebody is home, if it stayed hose was empty and easy to rob.
