The name derives from the Brocken mountain in middle Germany. It's a place that is connected to many myths and is commonly known as the meeting place of witches. Also there is fog on most days of the year, so this phenomenon is very often seen there.

It's a Mel-ligator. In all seriousness though, that is some out-of-this-world carving skills.

You can actually hear them moving underground. Like a kind of rumble. But they're harmless, of course, just really impressive : )

This is a Martiodrilus Crassus from the foothills of Sumaco volcano in Ecuador. Australia does have extremely long earthworms, which make fluid sounds when they move.

David Attenborough talked about this. It's so rare and endangered that we didn't even get to see it - only to hear it gurgling in its underground tunnel. He even spoke in a whisper so as not to disturb it. Clearly, THIS man has no such scruples. Congratulations, dude. Looks like you just offed one of the few surviving individuals.

This is actually understandable. When you're in the shower and someone has to use the bathroom. Especially when it's a poo. It is really unpleasant to be in a hot and humid environment when the stinch of feces is in the air. Like being in a šħîț sauna! This prevents those situations. Well done to whomever thought of this! Not sure if it was done to avoid the şħîț sauna I mentioned earlier. But whatever their reason, it was a good one. :-)
