I'm guessing this is a bakery ingredients store. I've seen them pack jam and hazelnut spread in plastic baggies as well. They don't need jars since this will be used in one setting.

Actually, this is pretty smart - if the intent is to cut back on plastics in the environment. Take it home, put it in a reusable container. Though it is covered in plastic, it is definitely less than a big plastic tub.

As an healthcare worker I can confirm this. Many times it does actually look like that. And have more similarities to peanut butter too… like the difference in textures…. I no longer buy peanut butter myself. Luckily the smell is absolutely different

Ok to be fair that sounds solid, but you've got to check out the mayonnaise or peanut butter knife on Amazon. I had no idea this was even a thing. I mean someone thought " hey let's make a super long knife, spatula thingy and sell it so people can scrape the bottom and not get all gooey". I'm just wondering how much money they've already made🤔

Fresh made, no sugar, no oil, no preservatives. Possibly made small batch local if not in the store. Kind of pricy though and would have been better if they had used deli cups.
