For most of us, social media has become an integral part of our daily lives. It's difficult to imagine anyone these days without some form of online presence. While some individuals can't go a day without sharing their thoughts, daily routines, or experiences through posts, there are others who prefer to observe rather than actively participate. Among both these diverse groups, there is a shared guilty pleasure - the fascination with diving into the comment sections left by other users.

Today, we would like to share with you another sort of online interaction by focusing on some of the most humorous, awkward, and double-meaning comments that were the answer to various posts across the internet. The Instagram account known as Cursed Comments uncovers hidden gems from the online world, captivating its followers with a collection of screenshots featuring the most remarkable and hilarious comments found on numerous platforms.

It is worth considering why various groups and profiles on social media attract such a large number of users. Several different reasons can be distinguished, such as the fact that people are looking for a platform to escape from everyday life and mainstream content. Additionally, many of them seek a bit of dark humor and an element of surprise, which is certainly not lacking in profiles dedicated to "cursed comments." Ultimately, we must also not forget that such groups, like any other, bring together people with similar interests and a specific sense of humor.

Many of us are already tired of memes that circulate on the internet and are replicated, which is why comments left directly by internet users are often like a breath of fresh air. By observing the content posted on a profile dedicated to Cursed Comments, one can deduce that dark jokes, unexpected plot twists, and masterfully crafted punchlines and posts that somehow challenge social norms and expectations are definitely the most appreciated.

Like any dark humor, this one also requires finding a balance, as sometimes the line between a joke and an insult can be very thin. The most important thing is that Cursed Comments do not contain any traces of discrimination or aggression. After all, the purpose of these comments is not to offend anyone but to provide amusement for the group members.

As mentioned earlier, there are groups focused on collecting the most "Cursed Comments," and many of them enjoy immense popularity. It may seem that everyone can find something that suits their tastes there. Additionally, they bring together people who exchange their observations about a particular post and sometimes even create further narratives for a given thread in the comments below, unintentionally creating some new "Cursed Comments".

Ewww I have a similar story. One time a girl s**t her pants at a party in high school. Her dad came and brought her extra clothes into the bathroom. He came back out with all the shifty clothes in the bag and stood there talking to everyone for like 20 minutes. It smelled terrible and was so odd. All of it. And very gross

To be honest, I am not happy with Ariel being black. I know you will all call me a racist now but that's not it. I just want new versions of characters I already know to look as similarly as possible to the old versions. I hated that Daenerys did not have purple eyes. And I HATED it that Darken Rahl had dark hair in the TV series Legend of the Seeker. In the books it is mentioned like a hundred times that he had such beautiful blond hair, and I don't even like blond hair. I don't care that Queen Charlotte is black in Bridgerton, might be different if I had read the books before. And I thought the casting of Prince of Persia was abysmal all around. Don't know who I hated more, Jake Gyllenhaal as a Persian Prince, or Gemma Arterton as an Indian Princess.

You are making comparisons of characters from the book vs screen. The old littler mermaid movie isn’t the original version of her, she is a character in a book. Maybe read the original story with a more open mind and your perspective can change. If you have strong feelings about a detail such as eye color being different, are you also upset that Disney strayed so far from the original “tail” and completely changed the ending. And a lot of other details, such as walking being immensely painful. You don’t seem upset that the old Disney movie was so different than the book, but your feathers are ruffled because you are seeing changes that you personally have a problem with. I don’t think the book vs screen changes is actually the problem here…

Re all the comments about Sydney's skin colour as Nani vs the Little Mermaid being black: Lilo and Stitch is a modern story set in Hawaii and was original to the film. The animated film was created specifically with characters with darker skin, plus Nani's surname is Pelekai which would suggest she is (at least part) indigenous Hawaiian. It would be fair to expect the live action version to respect the original film. The Little Mermaid features a mythical creature, so open to a wide variety of interpretations, and there are in fact historic illustrations of mermaids depicting all sorts of skin colours. Disney's animated Ariel is not the definitive version of a mermaid.

This!! I'll pro ably get downvoted for this, but if it's okay to remake a character who was initially depicted as "white", as "ethnic", then why isn't it okay to remake an "ethnic" character as "white"? I mean, it really doesn't matter either way, since they're all fictional, at least the ones not based on a real human like Pocahontas or Mulan. But if we're going to be so "inclusive", why shouldn't we be inclusive of ALL? (And I'm using quotes around "white" and "ethnic" so as to be inclusive, myself, and not call out any specific groups. This is an everyone issue.)

Not that my opinion matters, but I like it when there are people of different races playing a character from a different race of their own. It brings new depth and a different perspective to that character in a new way instead of just seeing the same version rebooted a hundred times. One I am looking forward too of a remake of a film using actors of a different race than the original is the remake of Grumpy Old Men starting Eddie Murphy and Samuel L. Jackson. I think they both will do a hilarious version that the legendary spirits of Jack and Walter would be proud of. So yeah, let any role be open for all races moving forward, no barriers, no restrictions if they really in their hearts want to play as that character.

Their skin tone doesn't matter, it's the personality and acting skills that count. She is probably just as good as an actor as the person who played Nani is. (Tia Carrere)

Personally, I think that making new characters for new stories any skin colour, sexuality, or gender is great, but if the movie or show is based on something like a book or something historical or if its just a reboot, dont change the way they look. Please don’t downvote me this is just my opinion

I don't care that shes black at all in fact I think it's really cool . I just don't like that her hair isn't red because that is Ariel's main feature. I love the little mermaid and always has and I've always loved her red hair and it makes me a little sad that her hair isn't red in the new movie, but I can't wait to see it anyways because I'm sure it's gonna be amazing.

I don't care about the skin color of the actors for any reboot nor documentary film. What matters is their ability to act and positively portray the character as best as possible. If you want an accurate Ariel then find a woman with a sickly white front side and a dark grey backside to play the role.

Some people boycotted Cleopatra netflix show where they casted black actress to play Cleopatra. Or a few years ago, when a black actress portrayed Anne Boleyn. But there was plenty of films and Tv shows, where white actors portrayed people of colour.

I think claiming historical persons were black and sell it as fact is more the problem - or is "My grandmother told me Cleopatra was black no matter what they say in school" a verified source?

You are all calling Jihana a racist but the point you are missing, that makes them the complete opposite of that, is why not give people of colour their own stories and strong characters? Why does a once white character then have to be remade into a one of colour? Are people of colour not good enough? Of course that's not true! So make a Disney princess, or a mermaid, or a warrior, or whatever, black, brown, white, but give them their own story instead of trying to conform to today's standards of what is considered pc. What if we changed the race of Mulan or Pocahontas or Lilo and stitch or Jasmine or Aladdin?? It's a two way street. Disney has race swapped the little mermaid for political correctness and to save money by re hashing an old story with a white main character into a story with a black main character. People are saying that black children will be thrilled to see the new little mermaid, but what about white children? That is also a two way street!

Really, why do they do this? Why wouldn't have have a native Polynesian actor to play this roll? I recall a white man playing an Egyptian in one of the Ancient Greek or Rome type movies and it didn't make sense either! I cannot think of one reason why they should hire a caucasian person and 100 reasons why the should hire a Polynesian person.

I don't care if Ariel is Black. For all I care, they can make every mermaid in every story from now til the end of time Black. I just don't want to hear people crying foul next time a roll gets "White-washed". If they made a live action Princess and the Frog, but cast Tiana as White, woke folk would lose their f-ing minds and the social medias would explode into a billion pieces from all the virtue-signaling, mostly performative outrage. It's the glaring hypocrisy of it all that bugs me.

If a character is based on a book the details of their appearance should be mirrored in that depiction. If a location, race, ethnicity is central to the story, it must be maintained. If you are making a picture in Nigeria around a Nigerian folktale, the character should reflect that. However, if you are making a picture about Snow White. . .

Disney thinks they've scored a PR ploy because now the people they think of as racists because they rejected Black Ariel will be exposed as hypocrites. Surprise! I think BOTH casting choices are stupid. I'm OK with gender flipping as long as it doesn't doesn't make for an implausible character. Morgan Freeman in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves? Great. As Friar Tuck? That would've been stupid.

PotatoNinja5000

I think the main reason is representation. Adults are seeing it as 'hey, the original tale was Dutch- why isn't she white', but at the heart of it, the film is for children who don't care about that. Lots of girls grew up wanting to be a Disney princess but historically, there were no princesses who were black. Having a princess who 'looks just like me!' does wonders for their self esteem, so the recent race changes for some princesses are a nice thing to do for those little girls.

As a white English Nana of a mixed race granddaughter, I'm weighing in on this. My granddaughter, a red headed, milky skinned beauty, loves the original Ariel because they look alike. She doesn't care about any of the PC stuff, she's not even aware of it, she just really likes seeing someone who looks like her. It's also not about staying true to a book that was written centuries ago, or even millennia. If we did do that, using movies based on the bible for example, most movies would never see the light of day because of the absolute violence we'd all have to watch based on Purgatory, Sodom and Gomorrah etc. Let kids be kids and take from kids movies what they will without any preaching or pontificating from adults.
