I'd have to agree, a simple "it's a ____!" Will suffice. Gender reveal parties have literally set wildfires throughout the west before. It honestly depends though, an explosive smoke bomb or firework, nope. But a fun cake or ballon with confetti inside, that might be nice!

Literally speaking it’s only a sex reveal party. To reveal or even define its gender, the kid first needs to be born and develop some self-conscious.

We don't have them here (Germany)..To me that seems odd. But I'm really curious when this trend will arrive here and I get my first ever invitation to one. Lcukily babies are still born without having a gender reveal party.

Announcing genitalia is weird to me, like what exactly are your friends and family going to do with that information.

"Gender reveal parties" are stupid, arrogant, indefensible and nothing more than a show off action. No one cares what kind of or if you are having a "human" child. Get over yourselves. People have been having babies for millennia and it is no big deal because you can procreate.

There are some hospitals that will not reveal the gender of the baby.

And if you do it in a park, sanctuary, refuge, or historical site, and leave trash or harmful chemicals behind, you should be put in jail long enough to have your baby there.

I'm in Canada, I've been to 2 of them. Did not appreciate being crammed into a space with a bunch of people I didn't know to witness the unveiling of the sex of their child. I've never understood why people want to share what to me is an intimate moment with so many people. Maybe record it and post it for others to see?
