New Hand-Drawn Winged Scarves That Will Turn You Into A Bird

Thanks in no small part to supportive Bored Panda’s fans and followers from a post last year, Roza Khamitova, a fashion designer in Byron Bay Australia, has expanded her line of winged scarves.

In theses photos, Roza expresses her design philosophy by modeling her creations with her hand-drawn textiles laid down as a backdrop canvas. By making her scarves, shawls and wraps feel almost inseparable from the surrounding. She uses her fashion to paint a broader message of connecting one’s inner beauty and adventurous spirit with the world around.

All her designs are hand drawn and then digitally printed on very fine fabrics which she sources herself on her globe-trotting adventures.

On the peacock one, I feel that it should have been depicted with a man, not a woman, as only the male ones have the large tail feathers:)

I would just like to point out that I think the model on that one is stunning, and that some people probably wouldn't get why it was a man.

I have one and was a bit disappointed because it wasn't as big as expected and the fabric is fragile, thin. But really love love love it anyway !

I bought the green one. Beautiful artistry, but the absolute lowest quality fabric. It was threadBARE. You could see right through it! Tissue paper is thicker. Came already frayed, and she is aware of this problem. I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to back it, as I think a breeze would unravel it completely. It's sitting in a bag, unuseable. Might look nice on a wall...

Interesting note: on one photo the artist is painting. But has a jar of paint on her work! NO ARTIST would ever EVER sit a jar of paint on their work!
