We visited the Randolph County Asylum and brought our camera to document the experience.

While most of the ghosts were too shy, we caught a few souls who didn’t mind their pictures taken.

OK….we might have also brought costumes and created these scenes, but…the history of the asylum is rich and we hoped to spark a conversation with some lost souls.

We did have our walkie talkies ring several times when we asked for Doris, a lifelong resident who loved dolls.

We heard humming in Noah’s room, a little boy who died of measles.

We heard footsteps in the basement where the butcher shop also housed bodies wrought with Cholera.

We went for the pictures, but left with more.
