“Witnessed Winter” is an abstract winter painting series where I question things around global warming and the loss of Ice all over the globe. It’s painted with a new painting method that I’ve developed over the past years where I paint with temperatures of over 2000°c. High temperatures generating snow like figurations in the paintings. That’s almost like an ice and fire painting.

    Dries Ketels work is extremely interesting! I had the chance to see the way he produces his art work, his explorations and reflections are very relevant to the contemporary world and in particular this winter pieces are of a great value and beauty!
