I've always been creative but after a series of rubbish events, I'd completely lost my way. Then, quite unexpectedly, I met someone awesome. It was a whirlwind romance and after only a few months we were not only inseparable but living together (many people thought we were nuts). We were really falling for each other – great for both of us - but we both also began to notice positive changes individually; he became more confident and, amazingly, my creativity came back. Whereas past partners had pretty much ignored my drawings, this guy wanted to be part of the process and actively encouraged and supported me - I felt I could completely be who I needed to for the first time, well, ever!
Yes, I admit, the following doodles are a bit mushy but they're also how I felt in that first precious year. Hope these drawings make you think of that special someone too - enjoy!
