I Poke Fun At Our Modern Society In My 30 Cartoons Of The Human Evolution Silhouette

One of the most recognizable images — and a source of endless memes — is the “Evolution Silhouette” depicting a step-by-step rise from our primate ancestors. I play with the silhouettes in my “Viva la Evolución!” series of cartoons to poke fun at social media, politics, religion, and human behavior. I try to give a fresh and humorous treatment and a new level of meaning to a classic image.

I was born and raised in Russia where I became intimately familiar with the absurd. At age 16, I published my first cartoon in the humor magazine Krokodil (“Crocodile”). My passion for drawing and visual storytelling led me to become an animator and film director.

In 2007, I moved to California, where I work as a director, storyboard artist, character designer, and illustrator.

Please don't downvote me yet, I just want to give some constructive criticism. No offense, but these are repetitive, bland, & boring. Have you considered drawing them in different poses & doing different things instead of the same thing over & over? For example, you could give each one a personality that you could use to illustrate humans through the ages & make jokes about it. It's just a suggestion, but trying something new could really improve this idea & take it further.
