This Korean artist, who goes by the name Rinotuna, can turn anything into an anime character. And we mean everything, from your favorite foods to plants to emojis or animals. Nothing is off the list.

Rinotuna portrays each character in great detail, telling a story so that you get a desire to see these characters in action. Since each look is based on specific items, each character looks unique and exciting.

Hopefully, these artworks will motivate you to look for inspiration in every mundane item because there might be more to it if you let your imagination run wild.

While we may not know much about the artist themselves, we can attempt to dissect their characters to understand why they are effective. In this instance, we can't see an entire spectrum of the character's personality from a single image; however, Rinotuna does a great job at defining distinctive features that let us see whether this character is more on the quirky, funny side, or rather stoic, thus giving them a unique personality.

From just this one image, we can almost perceive their motivations and imagine how they might develop within a story. Rinotuna captures their expressions in a way that enables us to envision various scenarios for each character effortlessly.

Furthermore, Rinotuna incorporates a lot of details, and the more closely you examine the image, the more complex both the character and the situation appear. What's most remarkable is that each reference image appears to be infused with new life and a completely new meaning.

If you're interested in discovering more artists like Rinotuna, who love to reimagine and create new characters, we've picked some of our previous posts. Isaiah K. Stephens has reimagined some of the most beloved cartoon characters as modern-day adults, while Ed Harrington has unveiled the secret lives of famous characters.

I think this is my favourite one. The girl gives me Toriyama vibes (probably because of the ears). The crocodile kinda reminds me of Shishigo from Fate/Apocrypha.

He looks like he could be a male version of Sui Feng from Bleach with her Suzumebachi zanpakuto
