I am presenting the Under-dogs project.
Under-cats, Under-rabbits and Under-horse photo series are the photography art projects that had been published before. Pet photography done from underneath on a black background somehow have become my signature artwork.
This time it is dog lovers’ turn! The actual project was photographed a year ago. However, we were patiently waiting until now as we wanted to present the cool photos along with the publication of Under-dogs book.
This project is most comparable with the Under-Cats. Cats were adorable, but dogs are more playful. Dogs are more obedient, which helps us to create more interesting photos. While some dogs were playful on the ground, they have completely changed on the glass and stood still like a rock. Others weren’t afraid of standing above, which was easy and fun to work with. I learned two main things from this sort of animal photography. First, cats think they are gods since people feed, love, and give them homes. Secondly, dogs see human as a god as they feed, love, and give them homes. Probably you had to read that twice.
For the Under-dogs project, I have designed a specially manufactured glass table to photograph bigger dogs. After capturing Under-dogs, I decided to go full-time on the following projects of Underlook. In our future plans - Tigers.
Today I am also presenting a release of my second book with these cute dogs. Books can be bought on Amazon and it is shipped worldwide. You can also see a backstage video on my Youtube channel.

Just one thing: This can be pretty anxiety-producing. A see-through surface means the animal's perception may be one of falling or not on solid footing. Research on "affordances" (James J Gibson's theory of "Direct Perception" - circa 1980s) demonstrates that the organism does not need any prior experience to directly perceive the affordances of its environment. Eleanor Gibson (James Gibson's wife), is most famous for an early (1959) experiment using the "visual cliff." Babies were allowed to crawl on a floor in which they approached a "visual cliff" -- actually a "see-through" area on the crawling surface. The babies would avoid the visual cliff, as a harbinger of danger, even though none had any direct experience with drop-offs or falling off any cliff or similar. While you could offer the dog a treat, and this might overcome any fear response, I would feel better if the animal had a "choice" to walk onto a "visual cliff" or to avoid going there.
yeah idk why they added it to this post it is obviously not a dog

Now, that's just not right! You shouldn't take a dog's picture when it splatters itself on your car window. That's just wrong.
Another great coffe table idea. Instead of wood, how about a resin sculpture. I once had a mother-in-law who would have run screaming from the house to find such a table in her house.
wow what a cute face he does not know if he us up or down or is it she
The snout looks more American Eskimo, a little longer than Samoyeds. What do you think?
Load More Replies...What is the fun in frightening these dogs? Look at those ears - much fear going on here :-(
no I am not standing on a piece of glass , but it sure looks like it
In a way doesn't it look like someone just threw these dogs in the air and snapped a photo? The perspective here is awesome.
Maybe he does this for treats. The lighting behind the tail is dazzling.
I need your yo photograph my 4 dogs. 3 Pitts and a Sheppard. This is fabulous!!!
"Throw me up again and again. Then I will throw up again and again.
This is my dog - hungarian vizsla. I don't like this photo. I think, it is dogs phornography :(. Sorry.
Dobby *wipes away tear* it hurts *clutches heart* it hurts
Load More Replies...Love the perspective of these pictures. But this one is extra nice. The coloring is beautiful and it shows up so effectively from below! Beautiful
I feel like the photograph has some serious glass cleaning skills. Look at that!
I don't understand why you keep doing this to poor poodles...Americans. :b
The traditional poodle cut has its origins in Germany. Poodles were originally water dogs, retrievers for game bird hunters. The poodle cut allowed for tufts if hair to keep the joints and vital organs warm while allowing the dog to be able to swim and maneuver quickly while in the water... Germans :b

Load More Replies...I don't know if you are the same photographer that did photographs under horses, but I loved that piece, it was fantastic. This piece is cute, but the dogs seem far more spooked than the horses. You need a husky in there, only because I'm biased. Lol. Keep 'em coming!
I think the photography should provide high quality 24" x 24" prints, which would be the size of a standard US ceiling tile. I would absolutely buy several of them and place them in the ceiling around the office.
