50 Of The Most Powerful Street Art Pieces Made In Support For Ukraine All Around The World
While civilian casualties rise as Putin continues his 12th day of military invasion in Ukraine, where men and women are fighting against the unprecedented aggression, street artists around the world are condemning Russia’s attack in their own way.
As artists, they have a voice to speak up and influence others, and a moral obligation to act against injustice. So they took their peaceful weapons to the streets and sprayed the walls with stunning, yet heartwrenching murals to support Ukraine.
The cities in Wales, Sweden, the US, England, Finland, Germany, Italy, France, Scotland, Lithuania, Indonesia, and many more countries have now turned into urban galleries that not only openly criticize and mock Putin, but send support to the people of Ukraine and give hope to the world in turmoil. Below are some of the most touching examples that, although silently, speak louder than bombs.

Putin Pictured As Voldemort - Streetart From Poland
Bored Panda reached out to Seth Globepainter, a Paris-based street artist whose mural of a little girl crushing tanks under her feet went viral on social media along with the works of other street artists who are creating art to support Ukraine. "This small girl symbolizes the courage of the Ukrainians faced with the Russian invasion,” Seth told us. This mural is located in the Butte-aux-Cailles neighborhood of Paris, the 13th arrondissement.

The bird, which has been emblazoned on a building facade in front of Frankfurt’s skyline since Monday, carries an olive branch in Ukraine's national colors.
A sign against the war and for Ukraine.
“I painted several occasions at a school in Donbas located in the heart of the conflict zone, where I witnessed incredible resilience from the children. They are the ones who inspired me to realize this work,” the artist explained.
Seth also said that although he does not usually express his views on current events, he knows “how important it is for the people living through this dramatic situation to know that we are thinking of them.” He added: “I painted this in Paris for the Ukrainian people, particularly for my friend Oleg who is still in Kyiv.”

We also spoke with WOSKerski, an interdisciplinary artist based in London. Recently, he painted a beautiful mural of a woman dressed in a chunky knit hat, colored in bold Ukrainian flag colors. “I’m aware of how meaningless the online support is to the brave people of Ukraine fighting for their lives and their country but I still hope this little tribute will help somehow,” WOSKerski wrote on his Instagram adding that “let’s hope this madness ends soon.” The mural can be found in the Shoreditch area, London.

“So first of all I have no idea who the girl is and originally she wasn’t wearing Ukrainian flag colors. So I changed quite a few bits when working on the design,” WOSKerski told us. “I was drawn to the portrait as I feel that her face expresses a mixture of outrage, fear and solemn determination to fight and I believe we are all equally outraged and shocked by what’s happening,” he explained.
“We can all support brave people of Ukraine by offering them shelter and supporting them financially, but as an artist, I strongly felt that it’s my duty and moral obligation to reach a wider audience and show both my support of Ukraine and also to raise awareness,” WOSKerski concluded

It makes me happy to see the world unite in support for Ukraine. At the same time, it makes me incredibly sad that Syrians were wholly rejected for the same plight. There are several wars currently waging in Africa with more than three million people displaced and famine setting in. Where is the support and murals and fundraisers for them?
Load More Replies...I am a bit surprised since Putin (is/was) a supporter of the megalomaniac in charge of Syria, but that was more about his precious pipeline. Wonder what they think of him now that Putin could care less.
This is what happens when it becomes the enemy of the enemy is my friend. But there is a frightening aspect to that because history shows us what happens when the original enemy is defeated.
Not the best example. Idlib is the last stronghold of ISIS. They hate Russia because the Russian-supported Syrian Army cleaned up the ISIS mess the U.S. caused.
The Russians were in Afghanistan through the 80's...perhaps we thought we were cleaning up their mess...
Load More Replies...Don't do that. Don't say that. Both countries are in really the worst situation ever.

First of all, I want to compliment all these skillful artists for their stunning work. Great job. It's also good seeing us all standing together for peace. However, I admit I don't like all that death wishes for Putin. He's a bastard, indeed, and I understand the sentiment, I really do. But I think we should be better than that mass-murderer that he is. I hope he gets replaced by someone who actually knows and wants democracy and the good for their people and neighbours.
I'm not a fan of death wishes. I also know that only death stopped many of history's madmen. I'm not suggesting anyone do to him what was done to Eichmann, but if he dropped dead of, say, an aneurysm? I would feel a little safer in the world.

Every artist listed has displayed absolutely amazing pieces. As an American, I find myself questioning our leadership more and more these days. I honestly don't even think our votes actually count anymore..."I regard it as completely unimportant who in the party will vote and how, but it is extremely important who will COUNT the votes and how."... .Joseph Stalin knew even back then. I feel like we're always kept in the dark here in the U.S and not many people really make an effort to take the time to find out exactly what's happening around us and not just what they read on Facebook or hear on the news media stations...so we tend to come off as uncaring and ignorant. We have become so incredibly selfish that we can't usually see past our own miniscule, un-meaningful, petty personal problems to give attention to other countries and people who are LITERALLY suffering and dying. We post a hashtag on Twitter and Facebook in solidarity and support and that's the extent of our support. Sad.
I feel horrible for the children who have to suffer in Ukraine. I get so sad when I hear about it, but these art pieces brought a hopeful tear to my eye. #PrayForUkraine.
I know this will sound silly and nieve (spellchecker?) But is there anyway of getting these images to the ordinary everyday people of Russia? They are so brainwashed and so restricted in what they are allowed to know, if they were able to see the true reaction of the world to this absolute diabolical invasion then perhaps, just perhaps they can make things start to fall apart for putin and his little a**e lickers from within. I know ppl were leaving yelp reviews on Russian restaurants stating what was happening, could that not be modified for these artworks, which have hit so hard in people's hearts, to be posted? Yes, I am aware i sound like my head is in the clouds but I believe that pressure from within Russia will help end this and if Russian people are aware of the full picture then it wouldn't just be young people demonstrating and protesting in Russia, but all Russian people would say "not in my name" Jesus, it's 2022 we should be better as a species than this
