England Loses Euro 2020 To Italy And Here Are 29 Of The Internet’s Best Reactions And Memes To The Whole Thing
So, did anyone catch the game last night? Well, even if you didn’t, spoiler alert, by now the whole internet knows Italy won the UEFA Euro 2020 Championship against England, who were very confident they would win.
So confident, in fact, that there was a slogan, ‘It’s Coming Home’, meaning that the football (soccer) victor’s cup would be going to England for the first time in a while—England's only major trophy win was back in 1966 when they won the World Cup.
But, alas, Italy turned out to be the better player here, and the slogan very quickly and wittily became ‘It’s Coming To Rome’. Regardless, the internet has been going nuts with this whole spectacle, meming things left and right.
Bored Panda has scoured the internet for people’s best reactions to the Euro 2020 Championship Final and has created a curated list that you can find below. So why not scroll through it and vote as well as comment on the submissions that you enjoyed the most!

Poor lad. Respect for how he handled that situation. Shouldn't a meme. Not being a kill joy, much respect to Saka.
I am Cornish. I hate football. I hate the racism and violence of English football. I am pleased for Italy and the fans, they totally deserved that win
Sorry George, but this is normal. Oh, and your parents could've let you be a child, England shirt etc and not dress you as an accountant.
Whoever made this clearly isn't aware of the existence of both Scotland and Wales
To win Eurovision AND the Euro cup. Might be the start of the next Roman empire..
50,000 New Covid cases today- you should be in some level of lockdown.
England is gonna sleep with the fishes if they try to beat Italy again.
Our football team are decent people. Look at Tyrone Mings' tweet to our horrific Home Secretary yesterday, or Rashford's feeding school kids, or everything about Southgate. BUT... We deserve the public roasting due to the xenophobic right wing government systematically destroying everything great about Britain.
Actually I liked your team (and I'm German) and would have rooted for them if it wasn't for the fans. Booing a national anthem and making fun of a crying girl? That sucks. Not to mention what happened after the final.
Load More Replies...If only English football fans weren't suck dickheads, maybe people wouldn't make fun of them so much.
The English have no problems with people attacking the badly behaved fans, it is just every attacks the whole country at the same time, they are unable to differentiate.
Load More Replies...English football is good. English football fans are an embarrassment. But on the night, apart from the fact that one Italian should have been sent off for fouling Saka, the Italians played a better game. They controlled the ball, the owned the match and they deserved to win, even though I was rooting for England.
