Is it because they got more views in common? I'm not vegan nor care that much about animal suffering, but I have enough neural connections to see how it's profitable for animal industry to fund negative press about PETA. Remember - tabaco industry did this too, selling some healthy smokes to treat your pneumonia and funding press to support their s****y bussiness.

I did look it up. Those are proven lies about them killing pets and animals. I don’t see anyone else standing up for animals the way they do. PETA has pissed off a lot of people with their exposure of the meat industry abuse and medical testing abuse and those industries spread those rumors to destroy them. You can look that up as well.

What you dont know about that source is that it is heavily funded by livestock lobby groups - look up the Center for Consumer Freedom - the group that is responsible for PETA kills animals - look up who the major financial supporters are to that "not for profit" whose sole ambition is to bring down PETA - a group responsible for more animal rights liberations and victories than any other animals rights group in history lol. Also Nathan is a former employee of PETA who got fired. Nope. No blatantly obvious conflicts of interests going on here. Seems perfectly believable to anyone not willing to look into things and simply take things at face value. Dive a little deeper next time before you condemn based on false and misleading information

Hans, there are MANY facts out there about PETA and what it really is and does. Some of them were included in the responses to PETA from the seafood restaurant. SEE: PETA is not an authority on pet ownership! They are working on their OWN agenda which includes phasing out ALL pet "ownership". You do realize that you can buy (and cheap) any kind of article getting written? As well as buy just enough shares & likes to spread it out. It seems that they do admit. It was decided by field professionals that euthanizing is in best interest to deal with difficult situation so I'll leave decision to them because I didn't spend my life studying and working with animals to know better. Problem is overpopulation of dogs/cats and caused by humans in the first place and there seems to be just no pretty way to fix this problem. It's too bad that organisation that stands on this difficult but required stance regarding this complicated and ugly situation gets so much bad press while someone who doesn't do a thing and continues to collect cash on from unsustainable businesses now gets extra good publicity points for bashing the "evil organisation".

I understand your disappointment, but PETA does not represent the whole vegan movement. They might have been at the frontline in exposures and in the headlines for controversies, but veganism started way earlier than PETA, with endorsement by many ancient traditions, especially in the East. If you love all lives, why not treat the crab and the kitty equally? Even though the latter is cuter and more cuddle-able, the crabs has exactly the same drive to survive, and right to thrive.

I don't think it's wrong to eat other animals. Other animals do it themselves. I think the problem is that a lot of mass farming methods are unethical.
