After Posting My Tweets With Interesting Facts Here, I Got A Huge Boost, Here Are 59 More Facts About Achievements
When I was a kid, we didn't have a TV in the house so I would read instead. My favorite thing to read was fact books. I found that a one-sentence fact was capable of blowing your mind, amusing you, teaching you something, and even changing you a little bit. I've loved them ever since. In 2015, I decided that I wanted to share facts too and I created my @FactBuffet Twitter account.
While my account had done OK, I definitely hit a wall for a year or so in terms of attracting new followers. I started to wonder whether my content was even good enough.
At the end of 2020, I was browsing Bored Panda and a random idea occurred to me: Why not put a bunch of my tweets together and submit them? So I did and you can find it here.
I was not only surprised that Bored Panda accepted it but very surprised, thrilled, and humbled by the response it has gotten.
Over 95,000 views, hundreds of Facebook shares, and my Twitter followers jumped up by almost a thousand in a couple of days. It tore down the wall that was blocking me: My Twitter numbers have been steadily climbing ever since and I now have the confidence to keep going. I also have renewed faith that I'm able to make content that lots of people can enjoy and one day (hopefully) I can do it as a job.
A huge thank you to Bored Panda and everyone who works there. (Especially Titas Burinskas and Violeta Draseikaitė for helping me personally).
My advice to other members of the Bored Panda community: put the work in. If you're an artist, ensure that you send in your best work. If you're a fact person, make sure they're all accurate. If funny posts are your thing, make sure there are no duds, etc. But most of all, submit! Don't spend your life avoiding opportunities, grab them. Who knows what you'll achieve.
Here are some achievements to inspire you...

14 Olympians have competed while pregnant, and doctors now encourage women to maintain their physical activities while pregnant--unless of course, the pregnancy is at risk.
She did far more than fly a plane. She was a genius who became a world-renowned author, speaker and rights activist despite not receiving means of communication before she was seven. She campaigned for rights for everyone--wages, disability, gender, race, and she was an original member of the American Civil Liberties Union. While typically described as an American hero, her socialist work is usually ignored or glossed over.
I'm so glad that the horror of 2020 didn't get her!

She's a bit shady cause she was prime Minister and had her sticky little fingers in the whole ordeal when some members of parliament stole one billion dollars from the country. They were not held accountable and the money has not been recovered. It seems every country is corrupt these days

Some of the rioters at the Capitol carried the flag of Georgia (the country). They had obviously Googled "Georgia flag" and used the first one shown.
My heart goes out to this lady for what she's had to endure. Marvelous singer.
He is now an amazing coach for Olympic equestrian teams. He had some fantastic horses, and was able to bring perfection out of them.
He was an architect and invented the rubrik's Cube as a means to model three-dimensional movements to his students.
Well, most people ignore Leto's version anyway. His tantrum over Joaquin playing the role was hilarious- full-on meltdown that ended with him wandering into the desert to start his cult thing. I wouldn't normally laugh at this kind of bad luck, but his reaction was wildly childish for a middle aged dude. It was almost territorial and possessive over the character (which he ruined for the majority of die-hard fans anyway).
Does it hurt to write their names? Because the names are tiny on this monuments. William Bragg and Lawrence Bragg.
The ipod was invented by a high school classmate of mine, Tony Fadell. He went on to invent the Nest programmable thermostat.
Personally, I think he's a d*ck. To have so much and not at least give back to the people who got you there. I might be remembering this wrong, but early in the pandemic, there was a notice on amazon asking for donations for the amazon drivers. I was aghast, he has all this wealth and isn't even embarrassed to be asking customers for donations for his employees?
