Well, yeah. ALL tattoos are ouch! :D. But this gal has a great artist working on her, and she's obviously taking care of her skin. The map means something or she wouldn't have invested her time and money this way. And honestly, about 10-15 minutes into a session, endorphins kick in and you don't feel the needle as much,

It depends on what the tattoos represent to you. I have my whole back covered and none elsewhere. I add to my tattoo as my life progresses and it has become a visual diary of my life. I chose to tattoo my back because my tattoo is personal, sometimes I want it to be seen and sometimes not. A mirror allows me to look at it whenever I want.... ;)
