I Hiked For 2 Hours To The Ice Caves In Iceland, And What I Saw Inside Is Pure Magic (10 Pics)
It is an extremely fleeting world that disappears right before our eyes! The place you see in my photos looked completely different two days earlier – a rapid river flowed here, and the whole area was inaccessible. I managed to capture only what was left of the untamed power of nature.
If you want to explore an ice cave you should choose a guided tour. It is neither safe nor wise to enter caves on your own. During my trip, I chose experienced guides. I met them around 10 o’clock in the large car park at Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. The guide invited me to the office – an adapted bus. He gave me all the necessary equipment (crampons, walking ice axe, helmet, and harness).
The hike to the ice cave took about 2 hours. What you finally see inside is pure magic. I will never forget this unreal experience!

Load More Replies...So wonderful to see! Iceland is so magical. When I went we couldn't go in a few caves due to unusual high temps which led to ice melt :/ poor earth.
