I hope you like them.

Villa, Italy
Love the way the tree is framed in the archway...incredible that the art seems to be in relatively good condition...
the murals are beautiful!!! and the countryside they frame and refer to
This decay breaks my heart. SUCH a gorgeous place - and noone wants it, anymore.
I am always sad when I see a building left to rot. Couldn't it be given to someone in need of housing? Better than rotting.
It's as if the tree wanted to better the paintings, they fit so well together...
Italian Villa
Some of these places are sold for $1, but you'd need to restore it to it's exact previous condition, antiques and all.
Load More Replies...Nothing but the smell of wood rot and forgotten summer days lingering in the air for years after...
North American Theatre
Wow! With just some light and management it can be a theatre once again
Reminds me of the Orpheum Theater in Boston on an much larger scale. 💘
Power Plant In Hungary
Who the heck down voted this comment? My first thought was Fallout as well, lol

Neo-Gothic... How can you call something Gothic if it never existed in the XIIth century...
what a waste, this could be restored back to glory....and more importantly, put to good use once again.
Bath House, Romania
This is in - Băile Herculane - Romania !! as a young child I visited it , it was stil working and was very beautiful ! stil is ...
I want to go see all of these before they fall. Thank you for the posting.
Constanta Casino is fabulos : https://www.vice.com/ro/article/aeg4q5/cum-arata-cazinoul-din-constanta
I guess that, only in Romania, you need more than 6 months to see all abandoned places like this one...
Former Hotel In Abkhazia Region, Georgia
Years ago I red an article about the Republic of Abkhazia and it's still in my mind ! The stunning abandoned buildings in Gagra /once resort, now ghost town/ - they used to call it the Russian Riviera. Hope to visit it some day.
Abkhazia is not a republic, I guess you could have know that if you visited that
Load More Replies...I never heard of this place so I did a google search and wow, it is an amazingly beautiful place.
Abkhazia is a part of Georgia which is occupied by Russia. This is the first thing you should know!
Abandoned Soviet Train, Hungary
Love the juxtaposition; sight is immediately drawn towards train then desolation.
Sanatorium In Georgia
Probably bad ones, psychic or not; most of what went on in places like this was horrible.
Load More Replies...These pictures are literally straight up heaven for Sam and Colby!!
Italian Church
From the roof damage, I wonder if it was damaged in the War? Reminds me of the image in the "B/W photos colorized" post.
Sounds like a great way to spend a vacation and a huge chunk of change.
Abandoned Tomb In Germany
i was really expecting to see someone hiding :D
Load More Replies...Where is this, please? I live in Germany and would love to visit.
French Chateau
I’m thinking location has a lot to do with it. Also taxes and such.
Load More Replies...practically every city, town and small town has a castle in France ( more than forty thousand castles and manors). people volunteer to restore them but there are so many of them and it costs a lot of money and time. then there are other buildings like old churches, abbeys, cathedrals etc...( there are 154 cathedrals). this is the one from where I live (population 1000). 943669_653...816e7c.jpg
USA Church
It's really sad that at one point people decided that the craftsmanship and labour that were put in these buildings weren't worth the effort of trying to preserve them for future generations.
My husband was just asking what pics I am perusing; explained I am fascinated by the craftsmanship, time and natural resources that people have abandoned.
Load More Replies...When I see photos from that era, I am amazed at the beauty created with the lack of tools of our time, and now we see little beauty created !!!
what's really the point of these things if you don't tell people where they are?
Abandoned Mine, Germany
Abandoned Power Plant, USA
Crazy awesome , industrial location for photo shoot or movie.
Czech Church
Some one is trying to save this Church. The wires are there to hold the walls together while work is in progress.
Some of these places are so very stunning, unbelievable workmanship. But the upkeep and maintenance, would be astronomical. Just to heat, and lights would be out of reach for most people. even as a museum.
Unfortunately a lot of beautiful monuments in here are in this condition because the late communist regime destroyed the bond between them and their owners and treat them with no respect
but not churches. They got back to the catholic church, they are just too greedy to invest into it in areas where there are not many people
Load More Replies...Abandoned Cars, Sweden
Have been there a few times. One amazing place who soon is gone when the nature eats it up year by year. Its the car cemetery outside Kyrko Mosse in The Swedish region Smaland.
These are all extremely beautiful and I want to make them all my clubhouse.
I’m so glad you agree. They really do take your breath away when you see them for real.
