There are people who really, truly don't get it. My dad is a hospital chaplain. He's had patients with COVID who don't believe they have COVID. He's had other patients die of COVID and furious family members unwilling to accept that COVID killed their family member. It's ridiculous and sad. Get vaccinated. Social distance. Wear your mask. I was in an Anthropology class. My first class, first day of college (started college when I was 28.) Sitting next to my husband and I hear a girl behind me talking to her friend, complaining about how her father got her a BMW instead of the Mercedes she wanted. We can see this from a different, non-biased non-hypocritical non-righteous perspective. The parent is capable and ready to spend money to buy an expensive car for the kid, and the kid is the one who'd be using it for some time. If it's meant for him, shouldn't he at least have the right to choose the color of the car? The issue here isn't that the kid is ungrateful, but that the family perhaps doesn't discuss stuff with each other more often.
