Mom Updated Her Tattoo To Support Transgender Son
Steve and Lindsay Peace have a 15-year-old FTM transgender son. Ten years ago, Steve tattooed their three children, Elliot, Hamish, and Ace, on his wife’s arm. But when Ace came out as transgender to his family a year ago, Steve decided it was time to make some other changes.
“The tattoos of my kids took a couple hours each 10 years ago,” Steve told Bored Panda. “The coverup took a little over an hour as everything was already there and we just had to update the tattoo with fresh lines and the gender change. I still have to update my other 2 kids as the details have faded a little over the last decade.”

How about a tattoo of their child that wasn't highly gendered to begin with? Slingshots to purple bows and a pink dress? Ugh.

It may be a reflection of reality and not gender expression bias. My FTM nephew was quite girly at an early age, then gradually became less femme. Years back, I would have been concerned by the tattoo. Then I worked for two managers who came off as gender stereotypes but weren't: the party animal man turned out to be a kind soul and the girly woman could be tough. :)

Transgender is ok to be if you actually think about it it's a gender trapped in another's body (depending on what they say they are)
