The ToonMe app turns your photos into Pixar-ified and Disney-fied versions of you, showing you what you’d look like as somebody from a cartoon. However, what would celebrities and famous figures look like in the cartoon world? We wanted to find out, so Bored Panda toonified their photos for your enjoyment. Check the pics out below and remember to upvote your fave ones as you scroll down.

ToonMe is published by Linerock Investments LTD on Google Play for Android and Informe Laboratories, Inc. on the Apple Store; meanwhile, the app was developed by Photo Lab, in their own words, a group of photo editing gurus.
The latter has more than 10 years of experience in the field of creating mobile apps, aims to want to “rock the photo world,” and claims to have made more than 160 million users “happy” all over the globe, according to their website.
“We believe that creativity is for everyone. That the lack of picture processing skills is not an obstacle in your way to fantastic photos. We keep our products smart and simple: although the applications are well filled with high-end technologies (like AI-driven algorithms or 3D face tracking) they are made with maximum simplicity in mind. Most often a perfect photo is a matter of just one tap,” they explain the appeal of their service.

It appears that the ToonMe team recently has some issues with their service due to “high demand” and they say that they’ve solved the issues, adding to their fans: “We love you!”
Though the ToonMe app has a respectable rating of 4.4 on the Apple store, at the time of writing it has an abysmal rating of 1.9 on theGoogle Play store. This low rating for the Android version of the app is probably linked to the flood of users using the app. Hopefully, all the issues are now fixed.

This medium doesn't seem to allow for distinct face shapes, particularly cheeks. Most characters have heavier puffy cheeks on the lower portion of the faces rather than apple cheeks.

Nah, just tried it myself and it was so bad that I uninstalled it 10 minutes later. The filters aren't that creative aside from the Disney/Pixar ones. I've got quite a few good photos that I used, and they all turned out terrible. The ones in this post seemed to be very polished compared to the actual results that the app produces. Most of the reviews are quite bad as well. This is a fun article, but it isn't a great app.

Honestly, if you showed me only the Toon’d renderings, I would be able to correctly guess only about 10% of them.

What's really interesting about this tool is all the men come out as interesting "characters", whereas all the women turn into pretty much identical (and very generic) "beautiful people". It really demonstrates quite neatly how notions of female beauty dominate the celebrity world. It's very sad.

they're not the same in real life. the program used didn't allow for any of them to have the correct face shape, eye shape, and nose shape. basically their faces just don't look the same as they do irl.

I saw a bit of disney, soem that looked klike they could be fromm the wreck-it-ralph movie specifically, and then the rest were just completely random

Their eyes are all crossed and wonky and the faces are ironed smooth and face shapes are off somehow, this made them look kind of generic.

How are these so terrible??? There are a couple of good ones but the majority are trash and I would not have known who they were is not for adding the names and real pictures.

Some of them are good, and then some are very much not. The eyes were mostly the wrong colour.

I think that if they didn't have the name or photo of the original I'd be hard pressed to identify who'd been cartooned. But I suspect if I did this to my own face, I'd prefer the end result!

Not impressed with these, for several reasons. Mainly that the program/artist failed to capture the tiny characteristics that make a person "who" they are, that little something that changes a "who's that?" into a "oh, yeah, that's XXX!!"
