“It Was Just Like A Dream Come True!”: Bride Rejoices In Moment Her Son Runs Up To Her On The Aisle

Many of us daydream of walking down the aisle one day towards the love of our lives. Some of us are filled with anxiety over the fact that each slow step we take is observed by everyone that we invited. But sometimes, those nervous butterflies can be scattered away by our kids running at us with pure love and adoration upon seeing us step onto the aisle. This is exactly what happened to a lucky lady on her wedding day and we all have the pleasure of witnessing the wholesome moment.

As always, my dearest, most glorious Pandas, leave your thoughts in the comments, wish each other a nice sunny day, because we all could use one. Each upvote and new follower shows your support, which is much appreciated! Now let’s get into the story. Oh, might want to grab some tissues whilst you’re at it!

The happiest day of this bride’s life was about to get even sweeter as her 2-year-old boy came running after seeing her on the aisle

The beautiful bride Kristie Mihelich of Troy, Michigan, had just stepped onto the aisle to walk towards her husband-to-be when their little two-year-old son Pierson excitedly ran over to hug her. Won’t be needing dessert after this, considering this is the sweetest thing ever! But let’s backtrack a little bit.

The wedding was held on April 22 at Planterra Conservatory in West Bloomfield, Michigan. In the video posted by Kristie on her Instagram, we can see the guests eagerly awaiting the beginning of the ceremony. Their son, accompanied by another young lad, was happily bringing over the rings that would mark his parents’ promise of unconditional love.

The boy then stood next to his father, Bobby, who’d been letting some happy tears escape as they awaited the bride

Once the important task was done, he stood close to his dad, Bobby Mihelich, who was looking into the distance with anticipation of seeing his soon-to-be wife. At one point, he even seemed to get emotional, grabbing a tissue from his pocket and wiping away the happy tears.

A small bit of trivia for you, as I wanted the answer to why we cry when we’re happy, as it seems like such an oxymoron. Well, according to psychologist Oriana R. Aragón, crying intensifies life’s happiest moments: “Our tears release neurotransmitters known as leucine enkephalin, which can act as a natural painkiller.”

“When people cry because they’re sad, this makes them feel better. But when people cry because they’re happy, that same neurotransmitter makes them feel that much happier. In other words, tears encourage catharsis.” Other times, our brains are a bit confused at the intense emotions so they react in the way they know best – release the water works! Okay, back to the story.

The jaw-dropping moment came soon, as the bride, named Kristie, walked onto the aisle. The boy then yelled, “Hi, mom!”

The priest asked everyone to stand to welcome the bride and the second the toddler noticed his mom appear at the end of the aisle, Pierson screamed “Hi, mom!” and quickly ran to her, his tiny arms flailing to the sides and his short legs propelling him forward at full tiny human speed. Kristie told Good Morning America (GMA) that “it was the sweetest thing. I thought that he would just stand there and wait for me but no, he was running to his mommy.”

The pair were always planning on having little Piercy as the ring bearer, due to his outgoing and charismatic personality, calling him a “natural little entertainer.” The night before, the married couple-to-be got a tiny bit concerned, as the child was more interested in running around the venue doing two-year-old things rather than focusing on matters at hand.

He could not contain his excitement, running towards his mom as quickly as his tiny legs could take him

He embraced her in a hug, Kristie taking him by the hand as her dad joined them for the walk

The little burst of excitement from the boy made their entire day better, Kristie saying it felt like a scene from a movie

Kristie was prepared for things not to go as planned, but it was “totally OK because he’s here. It’s gonna happen organically how it’s supposed to.”

She could breathe a sigh of relief as “gratefully, he definitely, in his little showmanship way, did a wonderful job and surprised us all with the happiest reaction to me, seeing me dressed up.”

The grandfather took the boy into his arms for the final stride, taking his daughter’s hand in tradition

The reaction from Pierson melted everyone’s hearts into a massive puddle of love and adoration, especially his mom’s. “It was just like a dream come true,” she said. “I couldn’t have painted a better picture for a perfect day. And literally, it was like a movie. He was so happy that he couldn’t contain himself. He just ran down the aisle at me and I honestly have never felt a more sweeter moment in my entire life. And I’ll never forget that feeling.”

The wedding was a great success, the celebration of love marked by many joyous moments, but none would beat this one

The adorable moment was caught on camera by Kristie’s best friend and the couple’s photographer and, thankfully, it was shared for all of us to enjoy. Kristie rejoiced at the love and messages that she’s been receiving since, saying “the more it gets shared, the happier I am because we need happy things in life right now.”

The pair danced all night, but Pierson outdid even the most seasoned dancers as he spent all night boogieing on the dancefloor

But apparently that wasn’t the only fun moment to happen. Kristie explained that after they’d had dinner, the boy went straight to the dancefloor to show everyone how it’s done, not leaving the spotlight until midnight. Now that’s a party king in the making!

The boy will be turning three years old soon and we’re sure he’ll have a blast of a time!

We wish the newlyweds a wonderful marriage, one that stands the test of time and we hope to see more of them soon!

We wish all the happiness in the world to this beautiful family and hope to see more of them soon!

Hi, I'm Egle! If you made it onto this page, you may want to learn more about me. Would recommend reading works by Edgar Allan Poe much more than reading this bio, but suit yourself. I have plentiful interests, starting from the things I studied in university (Propaganda & Film, Sci-fi Writing, Psychiatry & History of Mental Illness, etc.) and ending with an addiction to tattoos, documentaries, and dancing in front of a mirror at 3am. I'm also a budding artist; I dabble in painting and drawing random bits of chaos. My favorite desert is Tiramisu.

That is the happiest wedding I've seen for a long while. The groom is adorable! And I love that Mom was happy to hold his hand and walk with him, unlike so many brides who wouldn't want their dress or their big moment "ruined". Love this.

This is why you should never expect your wedding to be "perfect" - if you can let the little things go, like this bride, then it will actually be more beautiful & special.
