Beloved 58-year-old actress Tilda Swinton is known for her talented portrayals of characters in popular and arthouse movies, as well as her otherworldly looks. What’s more, she has impeccable style and taste in clothes. However, the internet noticed a bizarre thing about the actress’ outfits.

Internet users recently identified something that links Swinton’s wardrobe and snacks, specifically, bags of chips (or rather crisps if you’re living in the United Kingdom). Or, to put it more bluntly, people noticed that Swinton sometimes dresses up almost exactly like different-flavored bags of Doritos.

The internet gave Imgur user Weirdatlast their undivided attention when they uploaded the post comparing Swinton’s outfits to Doritos online. It got nearly 140,000 views, almost 4,900 upvotes, and over 460 comments.

Some Imgur users were fawning over how many different flavors of Doritos there are (Southern Sticky Chicken, where have you been all my life?), while others were busy praising the actress for her ethereal beauty and facial features that make her look a bit like a sorceress.

Or an elf. The slender and graceful kind from The Lord of the Rings, not the type that makes you presents all year long alongside Santa Claus in the North Pole.

One Imgurian even went so far as to suggest that Swinton herself may have been responsible for the post: “I choose to believe that she herself posted this late at night giggling to herself, swearing that no one must ever know her humor.”

Now, you really wouldn’t think that Swinton, whose full name is Katherine Matilda Swinton, was 58 years old just from looking at her because (just like Keanu Reeves), she doesn’t seem to age at all. Before I found out her real age, I genuinely thought she was 35 years old, at most.

The English actress won the BAFTA Scotland Award for Best Actress for the 2003 movie Adam Young, as well as the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the 2007 movie Michael Clayton. Swinton has also been nominated for a Golden Globe award three times.

She began her acting career with experimental movies: Caravaggio (1986), The Last of England (1988), War Requiem (1989), and The Garden (1990).

Swinton later moved on to movies like The Deep End (2001), Vanilla Sky (2001), Adaptation (2002), Constantine (2005), Julia (2008), and I Am Love (2009).

She also recently acted in Avengers: Endgame (2019) where she played The Ancient One. Right now, she is acting in Memoria, as well as Three Thousand Years of Longing, both of which are due to come out in 2020.

Now that’s an impressive resume! And it means having to wear plenty of different outfits, some of which will resemble a bag of Doritos sooner or later.

Do you think it’s just a coincidence that Swinton dresses like bags of Doritos? Or is Swinton secretly cosplaying Doritos for fun? Or perhaps it’s all a conspiracy to make us want to eat more delicious/unhealthy snacks? Dear Pandas, share your views with us in the comments.
