This Project Has Been Held During One Year

The old man stands whole day hoping someone will pay attention, but people pass by without remarking him… They have become the ghosts, which do not care the problems of others. They can only notice the publicity of brand mobile above…

And in this a fall of society there is no one to withstand this problem…

This project has been held during one year. The History of One Man. The pictures show the old man, which goes begging. The pics were taken on one and the same place, only background was being changed (playbills, billboards, photos of politicians…) The twelve pictures taken within bounds of this project were pasted in final form on the place, where this man stands hoping by-passers will pay more attention to him, than to playbills.

You cannot give what you don't have. You hear stories like this all the time but how do you expect a societythat is itself lonely to give of it's lonesomeness? The old man is isolated, the people passing by him are themselves isolated. We all live, each in his or her own bubble and looking for "stuff" to fill the space. We are all in the same predicament as that old man.

Hi Kizito. You are absolutely right. This man is standing near the place I work in. My heart squeezes every time I see him. I have seen him many times and always tried to give some amount for him to at least to have small breakfast. I have also seen other people giving him money. It is a terrible thing that some people are forced to stand in the streets and beg and It also would be very good if more people addressed this issue or could help but It is not like nobody is paying attention at all. Some people try to do whatever they can in that particular moment when they see such person (and trust me, in our country there are quite many people begging on streets, you just can't help everyone), for example give money, food and etc. but you can't set such kind of behavior as mandatory to people. When each of us has their own problems and tries to get home after long tiring working day (which is extremely low- payed and miserable) sometimes we don't even see other people :(

We all wear masks to get through the day. I recently realized that comedians are the saddest people on earth. I mean, these people make others laugh yet they have no one to make them laugh. Look at Robin Williams, look at Dave Chappell, look at Katt Williams. The wealthiest (in terms of material wealth) are some of the miserable people we can think about. Maybe this poor man is happier than most of the people whom are expected to stop and talk to him. And now we learn that some of those people even share their lives with him despite their own struggles. Thank you (the one with the unprintable name lol) for your response.
