This is the second post I've seen with a Susan reference in comments, and there's one more further down. Could anyone explain this please? I did give it the ol' google try, but all I get are 2 things. The AI response of: The online phenomenon of comments on cat pictures referencing "Susan" is a humorous internet meme, likely stemming from the association of the name with a generic, possibly elderly, cat owner, often portrayed as being somewhat quirky or eccentric. and the only other is the one with the screaming lady (Taylor?) and the screaming cat meme.

Careful, people think possums look cute and all, but they can be vicious. One broke into my chicken coop and killed 3 chickens. Caught it in the act. I used to think they were harmless.
The study included 194 minutes of videos of cats' facial expressions while communicating with fellow felines. These expressions revealed 26 unique facial movements, such as parted lips, dilated pupils, jaw drops, half-blinks, nose licks, and retracted whiskers.
For context, humans have 44 unique facial movements, while dogs have 27. Chimpanzees, so far, have the most facial expressions with 357.

I remember having a really really bad migraine once, one of those if I breathe I will throw up ones. My little kitty laid on the pillow next to my head and licked my temple until I finally managed to fall asleep. I am 100% sure she knew and was trying to help.

I don't know if that's always just some cute behaviour. My two pests, Sushi and Beefy (bastards from a basket), only had their box in the shelter during the first 12 weeks of their lives. Both may have developed behavioral problems, for example Sushi chewing down her toys to death, or Beefy still trying to catch his tail...my explanation for Sushi is that she probably got bored and started gnawing on the bars of her box at the shelter...I'm not a cat psychiatrist, but it might be true...🤔 🤷🏽 🐈⬛

My Bathsheba (rainbow bridge) had a reputation at the SPCA... All because one idiotic Doctor decided his "education and degree" gave him some kinda protection. I warned him repeatedly to not manhandle her. He literally told me, "I think I know how to handle a 6 lb. Cat ". I shrugged and said it's your funeral. He manhandled her trying to give her a shot! She tore him up, he was bleeding a lot! He was glaring at both of us! Vet Tech comes in saying she's going to take Bathsheba to draw blood. I warned her!her. She returns about 2 minutes later with Bathsheba with MULTIPLE BANDAIDS all over! Her file was FLAGGED! I had to make a follow up appointment, requested a different vet. New vet walks in, he doesn't address me, he starts talking to Bathsheba, telling sweet nothings. He examined, gave 3 injections and she didn't even flinch! Give respect, get respect!

I have these "spaceship" type carriers for all of my cats! They seem to be much happier in a carrier where they can see what's going on instead of a Box of Limited Vision. Plus you can strap them on your front so you basically have a "Baby Bjorn" carrier, except it's a cat! XD

My eldest cat HATED having to go in her pet carrier. It would be a fight to get her in (which usually took myself and my sister). She'd hiss, growl, scratch and bite, it was so distressing for her. Then I discovered this type and the difference was huge. I only needed to open it and she hopped in, I used to wear it on my front though so she could always see me.

I just rescued a baby girl from the International Airport when her "owner" was told the carrier he had was not airplane approved. He told them fine, then keep her or take her to the pound I could careless! They MADE him contact someone to pick her up before he was allowed to board. That person was my nextdoor neighbor! He asked me where he could take a stray cat without it costing him money. (I guess the animal shelter now charges when someone voluntarily surrenders a pet). I asked a few questions, then asked to see her. OMG, she was the answer to my prayers (literally) she was so scared, but kept into my arms from her carrier and promptly wrapped herself around my neck! I named her Delilah, a very petite black Domestic Shorthair. I think she has alopecia on her belly and back feet! Anyway this is her forever home now and I can't imagine life without her!

There is a massive difference between "cats that are chill with/enjoy hats and costumes" and "cats that do not". One should NEVER inflict hats/costumes on their cat if they are not of the first variety. When I was a kid in the 80's we had a sweet Burmese cat who loved when I dressed her up in my Cabbage Patch Kid clothes. Her favorite was a faux fur coat with matching hat. She used to bring them to me when she wanted to wear them. Then she'd purr like crazy and look around like "see how fancy I am?". :) She was a great cat. I tried once to dress up our other cat (her sister) and it did not go well. ;)

I think we've all seen this one and have all come to the consensus that the human put the kitten in there :( It's unlikely, given the surrounding furniture, that kitten could have leaped in there without knocking over the glassware. As an aside, if I had a vase like this (...is it even a "vase"?) it would absolutely go into a closet/storage once I had a kitten. There is no way that stuff like this is surviving kitten phase.
