We interview and photograph real people who live in tiny homes, most being less than 200 square feet. That’s smaller than the average master bedroom in the United States – a country where 2,600 square foot homes are commonplace.
These customized handcrafted tiny dwellings grant their owners financial freedom with a minimalist lifestyle and a small footprint. Armed with tiny kitchens, minuscule bathrooms, lofted bedrooms and multi-purpose furniture, tiny houses are redefining the American Dream and questioning what material objects you really need to be happy. You can check our tiny house here.

Share on FacebookThese tiny minimal homes are beautiful. Wish I could live in one, I bet they save a lot of money... though I'm not too sure whether or not I'll be claustrophobic
They do save a huge amount of money - no rent, no mortgage. People often use lots of windows to make them less claustrophobic or like the one with a deck so it opens out and gives more space to it. I'm planning to build my own, hopefully within the next year!
Load More Replies...It's amazing! I just fall in love with this small houses. But it's hard to spent more time with family, newly I start to pay much attention to my time manegement. I just allow some specialist from 1writingservice.com make my writing papers. I get more time for relaxing!
I don't know why these are such a thing in the USA! Come to England - this is the average living space for young people anyway. Actually bit bigger than what I'm living in now and I'm telling you it's not "living a dream"
Our house i s featured above and there are two adults and a cat!
Load More Replies...They are incredibly cute, but I could never live in those. I mean, I could live in them if I had a separate one as a crafting room. My entire crafting equipment and materials would need use an entire house :))
Love them. Mine was going to be 160sf + loft, but I've decided to go big at 192sf. :-) Just need to find some water front spot in this beautiful country to put it.
I need and want to build this, currently practicing by living in a 335 sq ft studio and I pay too much for it and it is considered inexpensive housing. I am a 66 yr old woman with a few health issues but active and energetic. I would love to find contacts to learn how to that is a very, very, very reasonable cost. I cannot afford most of the professional tiny home builders. So if any one knows of links or contacts please post thank you so very much.
They are cute, but I don't think I'd want to live in one. I think about right now...I've hurt my arm and cant reach over my head. I'd never be able to CLIMB into my bed in most of those places. Now...put me one out back as a home office and I'm sold.
I'd want to live in one...but I can't help but ask: where's the bathroom? As long as I get a wi-fi connection, TV, electricity, running water, and gas, I'd live in one. In fact, I PREFER TO LIVE in one.
I accidentally sent that last post before finishing it and proofing it----sorry.
I guess I don't understand why the houses have to be this small. Couldn't a little bigger place save a lot of monet, too, and at least allow you to stretch out a lot. The tiny house
