These Are Not Photographs. I Spend Hundreds Of Hours Creating Drawings With Charcoal And Graphite Pencils. This Is My Work.

I started training myself how to draw photorealistically in 2017. It’s been one of the most exciting and rewarding journeys I’ve experienced, and each project introduces me to something new in the craft of drawing with charcoal. But, that’s a face-value lesson. Adopting the regiment and discipline required to sit at a drawing desk for months at a time has been a funky self-help experiment. There was a fundamental change that needed to take place in my lifestyle to allow for the kind of work I’d dreamt of creating, and I knew that my old, lazy habits couldn’t stick around. It changed the way I approach any new venture. It made me realize that, with a little bit of dedication, anyone could achieve a goal. More than anything else, that’s what I’ve tried to convey to anyone watching. The journey isn’t finished, and I hope it never is.
