The Singing Tree is a wind sculpture made by two artists, Anna Liu and Mike Tonkin. The sculpture is powered by natural wind, and when the wind blows through the steel pipes, the sculpture makes sounds like musical notes.
The tree itself is a very interesting place to visit, and locals told me they could hear it miles away in the local town of Burnley, England, where the tree is located on a hillside on moorland.
Singing Ringing Tree Hike
When I head out in to the wilderness I do it because I want peace and quiet, any sounds I want are the natural environment, bird singing etc. What I don't want it to head somewhere where a sculpture has been created to make even more noise albeit even using the wind.
Funny I was just thinking the same - it’s bad enough getting away from road noise, t1ts on motorbikes with stupid exhausts etc etc without “artists” making it worse.
