Schindler's list was the worst, especially knowing that it was a true story.

Grave of the fireflies truly is a very sad movie, but while it is a possible story, it still is just fiction. On the other hand Schindler's List is a sad movie just because it is a true story full of pain and sorrow.

Sophie's Choice was my #1. Is that one well known? This quiz was just asking what your favorite torture method is.

The Deer Hunter, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest… I went with Sophie’s Choice though, given the options.

Where the Red Fern Grows still can make me sob, but Grave of the Fireflies is heartbreaking. I can't even watch it more than once.

It all depends on your age. Movies that are great but played to death lose impact over time. Also, how old you are and how old the protagonists are in the film affects how deeply you can empathize with the characters. Sometimes a younger person doesn't comprehend how tragic a character's situation is but an older person with more life experiences might have a greater depth of feeling for the character's plight.

I’m looking at something to watch on TV and The Green Mile is on. No thank you that is too sad. So is The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. How they even put Up and Titanic next to them is crazy.

I haven't seen most of these so I selected the one I've seen over the one I haven't but if I haven't seen either I picked the one on the left.

It's Up and I don't care. First few minutes are just an awful gut punch. I cannot listen to that music with crying. And for me, I go with the theory that it's all in Carl's head as he's processing his grief. By far makes the most sense out of the movie, but also makes it incredibly depressing. Carl didn't have his adventure, he's just dreaming about it while sitting in a nursing home.

This is hilarious to me. Of the ... 20 or whatever movies in here I've seen like 5 of them, and 3 of those I didn't find particularly sad. Turned out at the end it was a toss up between Bambi and Million Dollar Baby. :D
