After visiting the Taj Mahal, we went back into Agra and visited the Red Fort.
It was from here that the Raj would look across to the Taj Mahal where his favourite wife lay waiting for him, to eventually join her in eternal rest.
Another very impressive piece of Indian architecture, and very deceiving. Impressive gardens inside, not what you normally expect.
First view. Impressive and impenetrable
And very very large
Up the ramp into the Fort
The view across to the Taj Mahal
Ladies bathroom….who’d like all that marble at home…!!
I include this shot, as I lay down on the ground to get the tiles. This caused amusement to the Indians there, some even wanted a selfie with me ;-)

Share on FacebookNice photos. Ladies bathroom looks exotic! After viewing your pics I feel I should visit Agra soon. I'm from the same state in India btw... Uttar Pradesh. Visited Taj Mahal when I was 3-4 yrs ols, time to make new set of Taj memories.
Thanks. After I visited Agra, I then went to Jaipur. I think that's the worng way round. After seeing the Taj, the sights of Jaipur seemed a bit jaded. I've only seen a small bit of India, hopefully in future years I'll see some more.
