that's just to make you feel good if tou havea s****y life and you are dirt poor while the Church endulges itself in gold and riches in the name of God. don't say this as a quote please...the Bible was written by the Church, for the Church t9 fulfill their own interest. The Vatican and the other churches around the world costed more money than you can imagine and they make huge profits every year and don't pay a cent in taxes so....

I think it is because the devil presents the bible on how it should be in his point of view. Yet in God's view, it is the other way around. That a man filled with love family and children is richer than a man who was just filled with money.

It's supposed to represent the evil man has succumbed to over the years of our existence. But you also have to remember that the Devil was once one of God's best angels, he wanted power above and beyond that of his master's and thus he was cast out.

how so? The man with the money is in fact not rich at all. He stands alone, while the man with the children is in fact the rich one.

In the eyes of God, a rich man is the one with a family not with the money :)

It's saying that people who have connections, have family, are rich- that money is much less important than relationships. This is in the Bible.

Uh yes it does. It's basically saying people are interpreting the bible wrong and pursuing the wrong things in order to find wealth and happiness. Rich is the man who has found his partner and started a family, and poor is the man who is alone with his money and material wealth. That's how I saw it anyway. It was a little confusing though.

It means that a rich man is really poor because he doesn't have true happiness, but the "poor" man has happiness and is therefore "rich."

When we think of material possessions the first person is "rich" and the second "poor", while God thinks that a lonely man (the first one) is emotionally "poor", and the one with family is "rich"

The real riches in this world are the love of your family members, not money. The Bible says lots of times that rich people with lots of material goods will have a hard time to enter heaven.

It's a refrence to old saying.

It kind of does... It's about who is really rich in life. What counts more in "God's" vision: money or familly (loved ones). ;)
