Lockdown has forced many pub lovers out there to source other forms of entertainment. Some have decided to do bar crawls at home, while others have used Zoom calls to have a drink with their buddies. There are also those who have decided to forgo drinking at all and picked up new hobbies. However, the most creative solution came to the Crabs family, who realized they needed to get a pub built in their garden.

After consulting with Amy, who is the mastermind behind Octavia Chic, and her husband, plans to create a garden pub were made. It took around three weeks for Amy and her husband to complete this project and the result took people’s breath away. Once the finished project appeared on the Octavia Chic Facebook page, it quickly went viral.

Great looking Pub! A bit of advice. It looks as if the stringers for the floor are standard non-pressure treated 2xs. Unfortunately those will rot out quickly as water penetrates them. The Pub will have to be raised and set on concrete pavers. The rain from the house needs to be diverted away from the Pub.

Really amazing work! I have one quibble though. The spirits were all totally bog standard. Smirnoff, JD, Southern Comfort, Bacardi. You’d think after all the time and money they put into this place, they could bump up the quality on their booze selection.

It doesn't appear easy to find. Sorry, I tried. If it is any consolation you could do this with any well constructed shed or plan the outbuilding from scratch to your own design. There are online shed building tools to help. I've built my own summerhouse and various outbuildings and it isn't complicated. It was more expensive than buying a shed because I used much better quality materials. Motor bike store cost several hundred pounds for example. Can find lots of ideas if you look at Shed Pub of the year online.

One person on site at a time is allowed. To all intents and purposes it is a glorified shed (size, location and other rules need to be followed but aren't broken here) so no need for building control under UK regulations. Even if it did need to be checked by Building Control it only needs one official to come and check the site. Social distancing all completely possible.

That is just perfect. A nice place to play a couple of acoustic guitars too - though it wouldn't be sound-proof. Excellent job - mine's a pint.

Wow. Old Speckled Hen on draft. My seriously favoritest libation ever. Cannot be had in a major metropolitan backwater like Albuquerque, New Mexico. Sigh.

I love “major metropolitan backwater”...the perfect oxymoron! Now I want to visit Albuquerque.

I want to know if there are real ale kegs under those engine handles. I think I see the wands. That would be the kicker for me.

This is truly a fab dream. I used to have it bad for dollhouses and the delightful interiors. This would be a second love, but with wishes to bring it to life for all admirers.

Really amazing work! I have one quibble though. The spirits were all totally bog standard. Smirnoff, JD, Southern Comfort, Bacardi. You’d think after all the time and money they put into this place, they could bump up the quality on their booze selection.

It looks to be 10'x10' or 3 meter square. My "little house" is this size, but still under development (and no loo!)

I'd have this is my garden, I world definitely open it for neighbors after work. I'd find it a pity to have only me and my wife using it, it's so nice! Well, I guess if you open it to others, you'd need to worry about licenses etc ...

Only if you sell. If they leave money in a beer fund then it’s not really selling.

The only thing that could have made it better is if the Crabtrees could have built the Drunken Crab as a treehouse.
