The Cat Lady: I Created A Themed Photoshoot Representing What A ‘Real’ Cat Lady Would Look Like If She Started To Become What She Loves
My sister and I rescue feral cats. Sometimes we call each other “The Cat Lady” because of how many we are juggling at once. So I started thinking, what if The Cat Lady started to become… what she loves?
I found this awesome cat tea set that set the colors for the shoot, and my sister needle-felted all the little cats for the wig. I had a designer friend, Stella Maris, create the cat face overskirt, and my sister, yep that’s her, played the role of The Cat Lady.

Did you hear about the Cat Lady?
She moved in down the street
But the reason that they call her that
Ain’t the reason that you think!
Some say they’ve seen a tail
Pokin’ out from her dress!
Some say she drinks milk from a bowl
And growls when she’s upset!
If you ever catch her smilin’
Check out her pointy teeth!
And don’t you think it’s a just little odd
Those whiskers on her cheeks?
They say she loves her cats
Just like they’re her own kids
But I suspect – they aren’t her pets!
They are her actual kin!
