this annoys me more than just slightly. "Herd of horses is the most common name for a group of horses. Names like 'team' or 'harras' are used in certain circumstances, but the most commonly used name for a group of horses is a herd."
AGREE. There should not be more than one right answer, and the designated 'right' answer should not be the more obscure one. Our family was a cattle farm but we raised some horses and were around horse people. Today is the first time I've ever heard the word harras.
