Graduated in Journalism, Regina Rocha Pitta started her path in photography in 1994. The Brazilian visual artist took a course in an analog laboratory for four years; studied Photography History at Unicamp Institute of Arts, Campinas, São Paulo, and continued his complementary studies with courses and workshops with renowned names in the field.
Regina develops her research always thinking about her place in the world and tries to present her perspective and vision of life through photography. In July 2019, he held his first international exhibition in Havana, Cuba, at the invitation of Galeria Luz y Ofício with “6,380 km – from la Habana to Campinas”. And in October, she participated in the group show “Reconstryendo Metáforas”, at the Hartmann Art Office Gallery, in Santa Cruz de La Sierra, Bolivia.
In all, Regina has participated in 25 group exhibitions and has three individual exhibitions. She has already had work selected by the 15th Visual Arts Salon in Ubatuba; and twice in 2019 he had works selected for the Galeria Alternativa, in Contagem/MG, through the Resumo Fotográfico. She is a member of the photography research group “Síntese” and one of the founders of the Photography Center of Campinas, which in 2019 completed 30 years.
