The beloved actor from the iconic 1984 film ‘Ghostbusters’ and its latest sequel, ‘Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire,’ caused quite a stir online due to his remarkably youthful physique despite being 78 years old.
The Internet was set ablaze when photos of Ernie looking dapper on the red carpet for a March 21 photocall in London surfaced.
Dressed casually yet stylishly in a black T-shirt paired with blue jeans and brown leather shoes, he stood out while standing among his co-stars, including Paul Rudd, Finn Wolfhard, and Mckenna Grace.

About four decades have passed since Ernie stepped into the shoes of Dr. Winston Zeddemore in the original sci-fi-comedy. The actor said he still receives the same love for his role and the franchise all these years later.
The character Winston has “been such a part of my life, it’s kind of hard to separate. The fans,” Ernie told Screen Rant while speaking to the outlet about the new Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.

“There’s not a day that I’m on the street or someplace that someone doesn’t yell, ‘Who are you going to call?’ I’ve done a lot of movies and TV shows and some have been very popular, but the Ghostbuster fans have always been there, they tell me their stories,” he continued.
“ … I can’t imagine the last 40 years without it. It’s just been a part of my world,” he added. “And I’m thankful that there’s one film, at least in my filmography, that so many people can relate to. And a lot of the stories are just very, very positive, and I just really appreciate that,” Ernie added.
