I have so much to be thankful for this year, in ways I’ve had before. For the first time in my adult life I have more than one year of continuous sobriety. I have a job for the first time in 13 years, where I’ve been promoted twice in nine months. And I’m grateful that I don’t take either of those things for granted or forget how blessed I am, and that I can do things like buy blankets and food for people who are homeless or on the street. I have friends who love me and all my crazy social media weirdness. I have a roof over my head, and food on the table. Most of all, I am grateful for a husband who loves me unconditionally, flaws and all (my Beyonce song to him) going on 13 years, who I am building a life and future with.

My heart is just swollen with thanks and gratitude.
