This Facebook Group Is Full Of The Funniest And Craziest Signs Found In Public, And Here Are 30 Of The Best Ones
InterviewI don’t know what is up with people and signs, and we might never find out, but some of them are super weird, confusing, and simply put, bad. If you are one of those people who like to capture and share those finds with your friends, well, oh boy, we have good news for you.
Crap Signs is a Facebook group dedicated to unbelievably bad signs spotted out in the wild. From misspelled to poorly constructed, they have it all. Currently, this group has almost 90k members, and we believe it is just the beginning since bad signs are not going anywhere any time soon. So if by any chance you find yourself hoarding similar images in your photo gallery, finally they have an opportunity to be ‘appreciated’ by a wider audience.
To learn more about the origin of this group, Bored Panda got in touch with its creator Dave McGowan. Read the full interview below.

Looks can be deceiving. Remember, only one of these two people have a felony conviction and spent time in jail.
They both have felony convictions actually. Snoop spent some time inside for possession with intent to sell (1990 I think it was)
Actually both have felony convictions and spent time in jail, but what does that have to do with the cool sign?
so, this person received punishment, served their time, and was released (i.e. their account is clean), but according to your wrongful righteousness their fault shall be eternal and not to be forgotten.. will you be just as stern regarding anyone with jail time history getting their life back on track?
Martha Stewart for securities fraud and insider trading. She's a US TV personality
It's almost like you just WANT to be wrong. Took all of 5 seconds on Wikipedia. Shortly after graduating from high school in 1989, Broadus was arrested for possession of cocaine and for the following three years was frequently in and out of prison.[12] In 1990 he was convicted of felony possession of drugs and possession for sale.[223]
Actually, Snoop Dogg had multiple felonies for drugs and firearms, while Martha Stewart had only the insider trading bit. So, no you are sadly wrong. Either way, what did that matter? The innuendo is not that hard to understand and, for the state he lives in, not even illegal anymore. That's the joke.
He did. He’s been arrested multiple times. His first felony conviction was for possession with intent to sell, in 1990. He and Martha have both served their time and it’s something they’ve bonded over.
Served their time and paid their debt to society. Some famous people may get more leniency with sentencing (don't know if they did or not) but the court if public opinion NEVER forgets and they serve that til they die whereas joe nobody can move on and people forget
I have no idea who these people are. I'm either old or British, or both. Were they in prison for arson? Is that why it's funny? Explain it like you would to your nanna
She is Martha Stewart, famous for being a crafter, cook, and felon. He is Snoop Dogg, famous for being a rapper, actor, and pot-head. They are also BFFs, which seems odd to people. They had a show together called Potluck Dinner Party where they would cook together with other celebrities. Very wholesome stuff. ANYWAY, Martha has homewares including candles. Plugging a lighter as perfect for candles is a no brainer. Snoop Dogg jumping in and saying it's good for other things is hilarious and excellent marketing. Hope this helps.
Top lady is Martha Stewart, a pretty famous decorator and TV personality in the US. She was convicted of securities fraud and spent some time in prison. The guy below is Snoop Dogg, a very popular rapper in the 90s and later. He's served time for possession with intent to sell, and is famous for his love of marijuana, which is the joke being made by the sign. The two of them have become pretty close friends and Snoop frequently goes on Martha's TV show - or at least used to? I haven't lived in the US for quite awhile but it's a pretty cute friendship.
"looks can be deceiving"...what about him, in that photo, makes him look like he's been in prison? (I'll wait)
What hard to reach places? Is it to burn off those annoying ear & nose hairs, or are you thinking crack & sack? Needs clearer instructions.
I had to google to see if this was legit. It is. Both got a multi-million dollar contract. I genuinely love how the most uptight social gatekeeper in the world and an OG have both mellowed with age so they can pay their bills by mocking themselves. I am not disparaging either one because its inspiring to see people grow to be more accepting, happy individuals.
I love that these two have become friends! I don't even care if it's a marketing ploy, as they always seem to be having so much fun!😀 More so, because before her incarceration, Martha could be kind of uppity & snarky. I think that was an eye- opener, and she came out more accepting. She seems to be embracing culture, having fun, making new friends, taking sexy selfies in the pool, Snoop has introduced her to the "greener" side of life😉 I'm not even gonna hate, get it Martha!
Which part don't you understand? The weed joke or the Martha went to jail and Snoop didn't joke?
Load More Replies...Funny how this is at a Walmart where there are drug tests for employees
I like how we all forgot that Martha went to prison, and Snoop (allegedly) killed someone and DIDN'T go to prison. Good stuff.
I think Snoop Dogg is so synonymous with smoking weed that you'd have to be really reaching to find racism here.
Load More Replies...Those two are the ones who designed these lighters, with Bic. That’s why they are promoting them in the ads. Martha Stewart and Snoop are friends who work together a lot. It’s got nothing to do with inclusivity. The joke is based on their own friendship and personalities, not their race. Plus, weed is legal in multiple states, including California, where Snoop lives.
We are often drawn to specific subjects or interests for a reason. Many people are interested in cars, movies, technology, the arts, etc., and these interests frequently reflect the values and culture of our society. Some people, however, defy these shared interests and pursue their own unique passions.
Dave shared how his interest in ‘crap stuff’ has escalated over the years. “I’ve always been fascinated by crap stuff. A couple of years ago, I made a calendar of crap benches from the photos I’d taken whilst walking the LOOP and the Capital Ring in London. I also do crap drawings of bands and made a calendar from them last year. I started the Crap Signs group in February 2021; I had a fair amount of photos and was the only contributor for a short while, then Facebook picked up on it, and our membership began to snowball,” wrote Dave.
I would not be able to resist touching the cat. Whereby it will promptly leave (probably).
Despite sign makers' best efforts, errors are all too common. Dave and his community have already seen a bunch of bad signs. However, some errors in signs are more frequent than others.“Most signs should really only exist to either provide directions or information, any that fail to do so due to grammatical errors, etc., have the potential to amuse, but I would say our favorite types would be passive/aggressive ones, and those that are so poorly made that you can’t help but laugh,” shared Dave.
Even though there are new signs made every day, Dave noted that there is little variation in trends and changes of what constitutes a bad sign. He wrote: “There are only so many categories and we pick what we think are the best of them.”There are certain commonalities among bad signs that continue to frustrate and confuse people, whether it's a misspelling, a confusing layout, or weird information. Despite efforts to improve signage design and quality, these persistent issues indicate that much work remains to be done in the field of sign-making.
Maintaining a Facebook community can prove itself to be a piece of work. Dave shared what difficulties he and his team have encountered over the years and what he intends for people to take away from this group. “Mainly, we just want to make our members laugh, but we admins do like to stir things up now and then. What started out as something amusing for my mates has morphed into what can occasionally be a bit of a monster. Anything about sexual politics or veganism has a tendency to blow up in the comments section. I once had to wade in and break up a massive row that had started over some broccoli.”
I’ve also seen the reverse of this, especially on birthday cards here in the UK. I love you but Jesus thinks you’re a cünt!!!
Ah yes, the common lemon fish
I might manage to eat a child in 30 minutes but only if they're not too chewy.
Obligatory Dr. WHO reference (sorry, I bet you get that a lot!) :)
Load More Replies...I see that Jeremy Clarkson got the last word in obliging the council to create a cheeky sign. Interesting that the last word describes him perfectly.
