You don't need to be a computer person to know that exposed wires are trouble. Or that driving a bolt through a screen might cause it to go black. But to some people, technology is so foreign that even these concepts are hard to grasp.

So when they inevitably damage their software and hardware, someone needs to show up and fix the problems... As well as take a picture and post it on the subreddit 'Tech Support Gore' to remind everyone that IT literacy matters.

A surgeon and an IT guy once worked together to put all the organs and tubes in the body in the most efficient configuration. They basically took everything out, then put it all neatly back in. The resulting human was too powerful, and immediately escaped containment, despite still being under heavy sedation and having a giant laceration on the belly. Some speculate that he was overwhelmed with power, but I personally believe he was just confused about his tooth still hurting. After all, that's why he was there.

The ones on the left distribute the signal and the recollect it. And grow back on their own. The IT guys' look sharp, but function no better than a tangle of cables. Seriously, it's up to you whether you want to give credit to God, but that is some seriously sweet engineering.

The one on the left is highly adapted to an ever changing environment. The one on the right, not so much. As soon as there is a requirement for the cross connections made during the initial installation to change the one on the right is going to go to hell in a hand basket pretty quick.

Blood vessels aren't cables. Your PC won't die if a T9 cable isn't touching every square inch, but your body will if it doesn't get blood.

If you think that then you definitely don't understand physiology. Chances of the guy on the right dying with a blow at any point along the area of those massed veins and arteries? 100%

Andrew J Browes

The left really should be the nervous system for comparison. Arteries and veins are more like water cooling.

Jonathan Foust

Yeah, come back to me when IT guys build a cell phone that slowly upgrades and builds itself up to a corporate mainframe, while also automatically repairing and reconnecting severed wires and fractured case hardware using basic chemical building blocks obtained from crushing and dissolving scrap electronics fed into a hopper. I'll be fair and say that until it's about desktop PC sized they are allowed to feed it pre-liquified electronic scrap through a tube, rather than making it break down full sized parts.

Human has 45 miles of electric nerves and 60,000 miles of circulating liquids in a single adult body that grows, with all the hardware and peripherals, from an egg and sperm. That's like a tic-tac you toss on the floor in an empty warehouse and a major data center springs forth while you do other things. Except it's a lazy dumb hungry and moody data center, but def elegantly engineered. :)

This is very much fake. Currently, 2TB flash drives would never be so cheap, and they can't be produced reliably so aren't going to the commercially available to the layman. This is definitely hacked to read 2TB but is probably 8/16GB. If you need this much portable storage - get an SSD or external HDD.
