@RJ No *some* can, not everybody. @Deanna Nonstop pills aren't unsafe, according to gynecologists. @Aunt Hormonal All birth control *protects* against some forms of cancer (not a 100% prevent), and some have shown indications to give a slighter risk in other types of cancer.

@Deanna - B******t. The Pill PREVENTS cancer, preserves the fertility of women who have PCOS or endometriosis and is perfectly safe to take continuously.

I think sex-education for boys should go a little more into what it can be like for women on periods. They just focus on the biological "egg released every month and lining of uterus comes away with bleeding" etc. They dont mention that for days it can be the worst stomach pain you have experienced in your life (apart from apendicitis), or that some women can lose as much blood as if they were seriously injured.

@Danielle - you have a lot of accusations against groups you clearly know nothing about. I'm a Christian. I certainly never try to press my believes onto people, in fact the Bible does say we are to tell others about the gospel that we believe in, but it also says if the person you're telling is not accepting it, we are to stop or leave. So that's definitely not pushing what we believe into you. Secondly, about women, in the New Testament the Bible says in several places a command for husbands to honor their wives and treat them with love and respect and then for wives to basically do the same. God views us as equals. Yes the man is physically stronger and is considered the spiritual leader of the household, but believe me, we have equal day. The Bible teaches this. So you are definitely wrong.

The reason proper, or even any, Sex Ed isn't taught in most of the US is thanks to religious cultists. Xtians, muslims, jews, you name it, they all want to force their barbaric beliefs on everyone else. And every single one of their BS fairytale books tell them to HATE women, and teach them from birth that they're less than men, and they are the sole reason the world has "sin", and other f****d up s**t. So they refuse to let their daughters learn about their own "nasty, sinful bodies", or how sex works, believing that would lead to promiscuity. It doesn't. The FACTS prove there are more teen pregnancies and STD's in the "bible-belt", and religious homes, than those that are taught Sex Ed. But their whole lives revolve around lies, and ignoring facts, so sadly it isn't going to change anytime soon.

I once had a massive allergic reaction to something I had breathed in and my nose was just streaming with the awful irritation of every inhalation. Not proud of the fact that I stuck tampons up my nostrils to prevent nose breathing (and absorb the liquid) but it actually worked. Had to send hubby out for a box of mini ones specially. I must have looked a right prat - but didnt care by that stage. PS I didnt leave the house wearing them. But they are basically just compacted cotton wool absorbent sterile dressings with a string attached.

I'll remember that when that happens!

That's just a minor inconvenience. Worry that it might cause harm in some way would be 'legit' so I thought you meant something more serious. Just change the thing if you can't manage to get the string out of the way - though changing them too often could make you sore.

Yep-- urine SHOULD be sterile... Unless you've got a UTI. And it doesn't stay sterile for very long! But I was more referring to the gross feeling of when the string soaks up some pee and now you've got a damp string against your skin.

No, Martha, they won't. Surgery gives trans-women a hole that looks like a vulva on the outside. They don't get vagina or uterus transplants or whatever (this is impossible, due to the physiological differences between males and females). If a trans-woman is feeling pain in her abdomen, she should visit the doctor, because there is probably something wrong. They lack the organs that bleed and cause women pain during menstruation.
