I'm a graphic designer and illustrator. I started my comic blog Tall N Curly back in 2012 to share my tall girl problems. Do you remember my previously posted funny comics about "25 Problems I Face When Being A Tall And Curly-Haired Girl" here on Bored Panda?
I wanted to create some space in my life for something creative that had nothing to do with my work. By doing so, I realized I was telling the everyday problems of so many other women. Women, who, just like me, want and need to be reminded that it's OK, fun and even special to be different and to own who they are.
Since I started my webcomic series, I've had the opportunity to talk with so many amazing women who shared their girl problems with me. Whether they're tall, short, skinny, curvy, their stories about living their life and not being able to fit any mold inspire my cute drawings every day.
Thanks to them, I never lack inspiration or have to try hard making these relatable comics... There's always something new to tell!

People do love to point out the obvious, as if somehow you've missed it! I get that about my skin colour with comments like 'Wow, aren't you pale?!' AM I???? One of these days I'm going to tell someone I didn't know as I don't have a reflection.
I'm Native American. People give me looks if I mention this without the caveat of I KNOW my skin is PALE. I can't go to the beach without my (brown) family making snide remarks and jokes about how they're blinded. They all inherited a tan and I did not. I got sun poisoning every time I burn so I have to avoid sun exposure and now I am super pale.
Load More Replies...I would say as a general rule don't point out certain features of a person unless you are genuinely and clearly complimenting them. It just makes people feel self-concious.
Why make yourself smaller? If you're tall ... embrace it and be tall. The spooning problem also exists if both partners are of equal height.
Good point, embrace who you are, don't complain about it.
