From Los Angeles to Washington DC, people have recently been coming together across the US for Pride Month. But it hasn't just been a celebration for people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender, because people's parents have also been coming out in support of their LGBT children. Moms and dads joined their kids on the streets to celebrate diversity and raise awareness about LGBT issues, including one mom who carried a sign saying "my trans son is a stud" and somebody's father who wore a t-shirt announcing that he was "the proud dad of a smartass gay son."
"I had an amazing day today marching with my child!" wrote one supportive mom on Facebook after attending The Equality March for Unity and Pride. "We were inspired by all of the support! We can not rest until everyone is accepted for who they are!" We couldn't agree more. Scroll down for a collection of heartwarming pictures of parents and their children celebrating love, tolerance, and understanding. (h/t)

My awesome son with my husband at our first march. What a wonderful day to share with him 🌈❤️💛💚💙💜🌈
Just goes to show, just because you might not "quite approve" of someone's lifestyle doesn't mean you can't love them and be supportive.
I love this woman and her story!! She has been carrying that same sign since I think the 70s. Bless her! <3

I read this on the bus on my way to work and was so close to tearing up. Amazing!

A beautiful daughter and a '49 Ford. What else does a dad need, really?
My mom drove me all the way from Indiana for my first ever Pride since coming out, thank you all so much for making it an absolutely amazing experience!
People were upset about the white skittles, I think that it was an amazing, being pansexual and androgynous
It IS pretty ducking awesome. 🙌🙌 (I left it at ducking 😂). So cool dad! 👏👏
Shame on any parent that doesn't support their child regardless of sexuality!
