I Spent Summer In My Hometown Maramures, Which Looks Like A Fairy Tale (28 Pics)
This year, I managed to move my office into my hometown for the summer season. So, walks in the early mornings and late afternoons through the grass-growing valleys were an easy thing to do. I enjoyed the beauty of the rural life, long walks through misty forests, the sunrises and sunsets that came from one of Europe's top traveling destinations.
This series presents landscape photos from Maramures County, Romania, the place where I was born, a fairy-tale land that inspired me a lot. Also, as an artist, I am inspired by the huge potential given by nature, the essence of life offered by the natural setting, its stability, and beauty.
I am 33 years old, born in Romania and currently, I work as a freelance photographer and editor. In 2019, I was a Sony World Photography Awards winner in the National Awards category and shortlisted in the “Culture” section. Also, I am Tourism Ambassador of Maramures County, Romania. My work has been featured worldwide in more than 50 countries in publications like National Geographic, The Telegraph, The Guardian, Vogue, Daily Mail, Der Spiegel, and Lonely Planet.
You can also check out my other posts with photos of Romania on Bored Panda here, here, here, and here.
