Cats are carnivores not omnivores, people can live perfectly fine on a vegetarian diet if they change meat carbs for beans, mushrooms and other carbs. I would never feed a dog a vegetarian diet but it definitely isn't as harmful for them as it is for cats

No. Not true on many levels. First, cats are not omnivores - they're carnivores. And what is called "true carnivore" at that! It means not only that they can't go vegan, but also that having too much plants in their feed will make them ill. True carnivores should eat only meat, as they would in nature. Secondly, it is not even remotely true that any omnivorous animal would end up with health issues on vegan diet. That's the whole point of being omnivorous - you can survive on both. It has to be balanced in nutritional ingredients, as any diet, but it's just as fine to eat only meat, only plants or mixed.

Omnivores can eat a vegetarian diet. Yes even dogs. I wouldn't do that to them, because why, but they can. Cats are not omnivorous though. The are carnivores. Their digestive tracts aren't designed to process fruits and vegetables.

Omnivorous doesn't mean you HAVE to eat both, some animals CAN eat both but are perfectly fine eating a vegetarian or vegan diet. Yes, including dogs. Check the research.

This guy who came to our vet hospital blamed us for how his three cats were wasting away, as he was feeding them a homemade vegan diet. No matter how much we insisted that his cats were literally dying due to starvation, he refused to believe it. He would yell at us...and we were patient but adamant about it. Those poor cats...

So many people here who never look into science but just assume that the ideas that they have been raised with must be the truth. It's perfectly fine for humans to be vegans, according to the largest organisation for dietitians and food health experts on earth. They base their conclusions on actual science and not on "my grandma taught this to my mom who taught it to me" or "this is what we have believed in my culture for generations so it must be common sense".

Why do you think cats hunt mice, birds etc? It's not because they've not recieved their vegan delivery from Waitrose! They need meat via their cat food. Be as militant vegan as you, as a human, want to be but if you're soooo honestly "all about the animals"? You'll realise that you're actually doing is making an animal suffer... And quite honestly? I hope your cat catches a mouse, eats it in front of you and then barfs on your feet.

Look, I was in the Air Force myself and I know damn well that there's no way that an airman would be able to keep his mouth shut about seeing an alien or UFO after a few beers. And a global conspiracy of nations to keep "the truth" silent? Don't make me laugh, the world's governments can't even stop fighting each other.
