Japanese artist Akie Nakata, also known as Akie the "Stone Artist," describes her stone art as a "collaboration between two fragments in the earth." Why, you might ask? Well, the answer is easy enough if you take a moment to appreciate the artist’s hard work. Akie uses stones she finds in nature to create amazing works of art. She uses blunt stones and paints them as various animals such as cats, dogs, owls, and even fish. Each shape of the stone is unique and requires a different approach to get her idea across. Some shapes might seem odd or uncomfortable to paint on, but the artist makes it work, and it really looks like the stone was meant to look like this.
Akie’s work has been featured on Bored Panda previously, and you can find it by clicking here and here.

Beautifullllll... I remember I went snorkeling in Hawaii and a sea turtle swam right up to me and it actually swam under me! Also it had a baby :)
I read where the Manatees are dying off due to the loss of their food grasses by Human activities.
I can almost feel this one vibrating with his puffy tail and crimply ears- WOW!
So sad! Looks like the mate to the little polar bear, being separated by ice that's broken apart. So, so sad!
Oh my god I’m so sorry- this is beautiful and aLL of these are beautiful but I was not expecting the pufferfish at the end and I’m laughing hysterically. It looks like a real pufferfish, and that’s why it caught me so off guard. Amazing work!!
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Wow, I can't even draw a straight line with a ruler! Amazing talent!!
What a talent! I am an artist, so I see things others don't. But I cannot imagine seeing tiny animals out of a rock! God bless this artist.
