    I am in my early 30s and i think im okay to not party anymore for the rest of my life.

    We whip ourselves into a fury chasing this thing. Our entire society is built around the assumption that everyone wants one. That it's a way to be happy.

    It's not.

    It's a waste of a great gift we've been given.

    You enrich others. Always. If you're lucky you'll get some cream off the top. But most people won't.

    They'll just pump hours of their life into the comfort of other people who had the fortune to be born into the right class of people.

    Soda and other soft or carbonated drinks. They’re so sugary and awful it’s like I can imagine my teeth dissolving and my insides corroding just from drinking a bit of it.     My problem is, I can only drink water when it's absolutely ice cold. Drinking tepid water is awful to me. Tepid soda isn't great either, but still better.

    I love in the summer, when I finish work, take the dog for a walk at the dunes, down to the beach about eight in the evening, walk in the surf or have a swim, dry off and sit on a high stool at the beach shack and enjoy an ice cold beer with my earbuds listing to jazz or blues. some days there's a band playing so I have another beer, or maybe two more.....     never liked clubbing at all (went around my 18th birthday and another time on a date at 19). I was okay with loud, but this is über-loud to a degree I have difficulty hearing for a couple of hours after getting out. 2 times was enough for me to barred it in the future.

At the beginning I was desperately attached to my home and missed it to the core of my being. Now I realize that I left problems behind I'll never have to face again.     Huh. When I played Delta Force and Comanche 4 20+ years ago I dreamed that someday it will be possible to play a online game with tanks, choppers, planes and what not. Then my dream came true. I like Battlefield 3 and 4. Was very interested in World of Tanks, played in closed beta and open beta and then when game came out. Now I just want to play offline, just to avoid hordes of morons which makes any game experience miserable. When I play online, very rare nowadays, I just ignore chat.

    I have been traveling for 25 years, before pandemic 2 - 3 times a month 3-4 days a time. I loved it but manly around Spain in my car. Flying has become a nightmare, getting through security, loud kids, loud adults, rude staff, terrible and expensive food at the airports. People save 20 euros not checking in a suitcase then clog up the boarding and un-boarding with there stuff.

    It's a fact that dating apps are a ripoff for men. I had a friend who worked for a Spanish version of a popular app. Her job was to keep the men paying subscription. When their subscription was ending she would make contact and keep them thinking they had met somebody interesting, she was ruining 200+ profiles of made up women. The moment they paid for another few months she would ghost them.

    30 People Share Things That Just Aren't As Fun As They Used To Be Work. I remember the naive motivation I had to get old, jump into the workforce and make my own money. I’ll gladly go back in time & go back to begging my parents for rides to places & new shoes again.

    Anime. Used to watch anime a lot before. Now when I watch new anime or even rewatch old animes, I usually either cringe or just plain bored, so I just drop it. Though there are still a few good animes, at least.

    There are so many anime shows & movies in every genre. If you don't care for animation any more because you think it's childish and you're an "adult" now, that's ignorant. If you don't like it because of the style that's different. But saying "there are still a few good ones" is like saying there's only a few good movies in *general* out there.
