Mine must have a tall narrow glass of water with the water all the way to the top. Must add water throughout day so it never goes down otherwise the death meows and aggressive head butting/herding into the kitchen starts. How did I turn her into such a monster??

Cats fed with good food don't really need to drink water. Dry cat food is unhealthy for cats too and easily gives them diabetes and damages kidneys. Their food should be wet food with lots of meat in it and no addons like cereals or veggies. Then they don't need to drink water basically at all as they get enough from food and there's nothing to worry about.

I have a fish tank on a livingroom table - the fish died two years ago, but the cats love drinking out of it - even with the filtered pet fountain bought for them. So, now the the aquarium is still there and they still drink out of it

My dog is just the same. He'll drink dirty water out of a puddle before drinking fresh clean water out of his nice clean bowl at home.

I actually got stuck in quicksand as a kid. was scared when it happened but disappointed later because it was not like in the movies where you slowly sink untill your head almost goes under (which is when you get saved). I just sunk in knee deep and lost a boot, meaning I got 1 cold foot when I reached home. So underwhelming.
