I Worked At A Glass Shop For Two Years And After I Lost My Job During The Pandemic, I Started Making Colorful Art From Stained Glass (43 Pics)
Hi! My name is Marta. Three years ago I randomly applied for a job as a shop assistant at a glass store. I didn't know anything about stained glass then, but I got the job. The rest is history, as they say.
I worked at the glass shop for nearly two years and was made redundant during the pandemic. I became fascinated with glass while at the shop and attended a couple of workshops there, where I learned the basics of stained glass making. I fell in love with the craft and really enjoyed every bit of the process so I decided to carry on and turned my passion into a business.
I've been making small glass sun-catchers as well as bigger panels for a couple of years now and I was lucky enough to get commissioned to make my biggest stained glass panel yet: The Sunset Landscape. The panel was inspired by Washington landscapes and features snowcapped mountains, trees, and rivers. It traveled all the way from Bristol, the UK to Minnesota, US, and is my proudest piece of work yet.

Thank you for all your love and support.

While looking at this I realized that glass and feathers are polar opposites
Love the simplicity and colour of the unique, beautiful shape! Awesome!
I've always wanted to try this, I imagine it's so difficult to get nice lines with saudering.
It took some practice, I must admit! Haha
